If you think cable and internet is bad,,, how about residential telephone service??? Maybe the lines are all twisted with AT&T or the Ants are eating copper wire or they are too lazy to go to the NODE, NID, or SWITCH but I ran out to buy a new phone line (and jack) to connect from the box outside to the jack inside. I have tried a different phone, checked for electrical interference and the problem isnt here.. There are two of us here that work from home (virtual call center) and now my job is on the line. In my last attempt to help GRANDE find a solution, I asked them to change the phone number on the line I called in from (with the static)... What did they do? They changed the other number... the other phone number... not the one I reported the static on which is the same line I called them on.... What I really want to know is - Is there anyone there that can figure out a simple analog line with two wires? At the very least and due to the continuous problems... I would have expected someone to sound professional and maybe even do a follow up on the new number that they assigned to the wrong phone... Especially since they know I dont have any other choice for a phone, internet or cable service at my address!! If I could I would have rated 0..*No Stars*

I unfortunately got stuck with grande due to their service only being provided in my apartment complex. Ive had my wifi go off a handful of times, and Ive had it go slower than a turtle. I made a payment then the next day my services were disconnected, when I called to find out why they told me about a deposit I waived when I started service and that would be taken out of my account BUT because my card declined (new card) they shut off my services. I never received anything in the mail anything in my email or not even a phone call telling me about this $50 payment due all I ever received was a $65 payment that was due that was paid a day before my services got disconnected. The lady then told me they wouldnt restore service until that $50 payment was made and when I said to her "oh so you are just going to disconnect my services from a $50 deposit that I wasnt even aware was due?!" She said "yes"....all they care about is money. Ive never had a company careless about their customers then grande. Not one notice or not one phone call about that $50 payment but they turn it off anyways without me even knowing about this payment!!!!

I only used it because I have no choice because you live in a apt complex who signed a contract with Grande not caring if this is a good company or not. The customer service is the worst they are rude and do not care about your issues. They just repeated the same thing over and over. I am sure because you have no other options they do not try to please you as the customer since you have no choice. What happen to free enterprise where other business have a chance to compete for your business. When there is no competition results in bad product and no incentive to make them better. I cant wait to move away from here just so I do not have to use their service (Grande). Its like being forced by the government to only eat at McDonalds with no other choices because of a contract was made with no concerns of others. The internet is slow, billing errors, wait time long, apathy toward their customers, customer service is horrible so based on these reasons why would I use this company if I had a choice.

I dont understand why there are so many negative reviews on here. Grande Communications is the best cable company Ive ever used and I have been with all the big ones. Here are the highlights: 1. They offer up to 100mbps download speed! I dont know any other cable company that offers that speed. And its been very consistent with my experience and I run speed tests all the time to wow my geeky friends. A10gb mkv file typically downloads between 10-15 minutes! An typical mp3 music album...5-10 seconds. 2. Grande paired up with TiVo so the HD-DVR they provide is a TiVo! Im embarrassingly a TV junkie and the TiVo can record up to 4 shows at once! All other cable companies...2 shows at once. 3. I have never waited longer than 30 seconds to get someone on the line whether it be sales, technical support, whatever. I recently moved and I am sad to say they dont offer Grande in my area. Supposedly one day theyll make their way here, and when they do, Ill be first in line to sign up.

Weve used Grande for the past 2.5+ years. I have nothing, but good things to say... Their internet is incredibly fast & reliable for a very reasonable price, and their customer service is top notch. We used to have their cable package as well, but switch to a Roku about a year ago. The cable was a bit more expense than other retailers, but it included a ton of channels and TiVos were included for every TV. Overall, I will continue to be a loyal Grande customer for two main reasons: 1) They dont hike up the prices too much year-over-year, with TWC it would go up over 20% each year, but Grande only increases by a couple dollars each year; and 2) I never have to wait more than a few minutes to talk to with a live human for customer support, which I rarely have to call,, maybe once every 12-15 months, and they ALWAYS resolve the problem in a timely manner, plus, they are very easy to understand versus other companys outsourced tech support. I highly recommend Grande!

Before buying our house in the Castle Hills Subdivision in 2008 my family and I had lived in two apartments one in Plano and the other one in Carrollton. Both of these apartment complexes had two different nationally known Cable Communication companies. When we bought the house they said they had a contract for Grande Communications small company that gives great service. This was an understatement of course. Not only have we have had them at our house since 2008 we wanted only Grande Communications Communications in the apartment when were down sizing since our daughter is going off to college. We found them at Platinum Castle Hills Apartments The best in all they do with the FASTEST 100MBPS no other company offers this for the great price. Now they have added Netflixs to their TiVo. How can they get any better? Well the caring, polite patient, on time personnel make wish others could experience the grand treatment from Grande Communications!

I too, am perplexed by all the negative reviews. I had just moved a mile down the road from previous address where I had AT&T U-verse service. We were very satisfied with it, but it was not available at our new address, so I decided to give Grande a shot versus dish providers/Time Warner. I have been with Grande for 3 yrs now and have had no issues with TV or internet. There have been a few temporary loss of signal messages on the screen that quickly disappear with changing the channel and return back to original channel..big deal, happens with any service. Wireless internet throughout the house, initially had some issues, but not because of Grande, but because where the main router was located. Grande came back out same day and added a booster/repeater in the attic and a range extender. Reliability for my services has been 99.9%. The few times I have had to call customer service, the service has met or exceeded my expectations.
