For anyone reading this: I have been with TekWav now for 3 weeks. Their speed blows grayson cable out of the water, I have had zero service interruptions, and frankly cant even remember a single time my TV had buffered. There IS a high speed alternative to grayson cable! TekWav. Theyre awesome! Stay away from grayson cable at all costs!!! UPDATE 2/29/2016 After posting the reviews below, grayson cable called and THREATENED me with service cancellation if I didnt remove my reviews. I obliged just long enough to get their competitor, TekWav, out for an installation of their equipment. Now Im reposting with an update. My experience with grayson cable was generally horrible they did send technicians out everytime I called but were never able to solve my problems. We had constant service interruptions, buffering, and outright loss of service daily. They cannot handle peak hour service loads, and at one time we went nearly a month without service. They never offered a refund, discount, or credit. I paid 100 per month. Go with someone else. Im not the type person who works with bullies, and doubt anyone reading this likes to either. You threaten me? Goodbye. Heres your bad review, and its staying up along with my BBB complaint. AVOID GRAYSON CABLE AND INTERNET AT ALL COSTS!!! Worst Internet provider Ive ever had. Unreliable, slow, rarely works. No matter how often I call, and they come out, problems persist. I would have changed long ago, but satellite Internet wont run netflix, amazon, or my smart TVs...so Im stuck with grayson cable. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this half rate Internet provider. Go with someone else if at ALL possible. Even if someone else is more expensive, go with them. Save yourself the frustration, headaches, and the time you will spend on the phone with grayson cable. Ill say it ahain, I DO NOT RECOMMEND, and would strongly urge anyone considering grayson cable as an option to go with someone else. Unless of course you like Unreliable Internet and headaches. Follow up feb 1: Im sick of calling these guys and not getting the problem fixed. My Internet is down again. Insufficient bandwidth. All they ever tell me is to unplug my router and reset it. I shouldnt have to do that daily, or multiple times a day. They have a monopoly on high speed Internet in my area and could care less about their quality of service. I see this happen daily in the evenings. Lost my Internet at 730 tonight, wont have it again for several hours. I pay 100 per month for daily disruption in service, unfortunately satellite wont supply my needs, so Im stuck with this sorry provider. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE IF YOU LIVE IN AN AREA OF GRAYSON COUNTY WHERE YOU HAVE OPTIONS! THEY ARE HORRIBLE! Update: 930. Still having problems. Way to kill a quiet date night at home while we deal with the frustrations of our trying to resume our movie without Internet. Its now my goal to post as many negative reviews as I can on this company. They are absolutely horrendous. Update Feb 11: after posting several bad reviews and a BBB complaint, miraculously my service improved. I still have a glitch daily, but after resetting my motem/router it comes right back. In the past Id lose service for hours or days. Ive quit calling them, peak hours are the worst and thats usually when I have problems. Still would not recommend these guys. I cant after the problems Ive had and the extent to which I had to go to get any improvement. Theyre my only option out where I live, so I dont have any options. If you havery options, go with someone else.

I have had this internet company for a couple of years and it is by far my worst experience with internet in my life. I actually get so tired of calling and complaining that I have stopped and just went without internet for about a month at one point. The service hardly ever works. And when it does it sucks so so bad. Im talking about 46 kbs. Cant watch YouTube and webpages load like dial up. I pay $115 a month for 12mbs and get charged a $10 late fee if im one day late. And if I pay over the phone to a person they charge a additional fee of like $3. I cant even begin to guess how many times I have called tech support with no internet. Sometimes several times a month, only to have them tell me that I need to reset the modem or that my modem is bad and I need another one. I got tired of not receiving any calls or visits from a technician after a work order was supposedly put in so I drove to pick up the modem myself at thier main office. When I get to the office I am told that if I can tough it out for three more weeks that they are installing fiber optic and that they know they have a problem and its is almost fixed. That was 3 months ago and as I type this there is no service, which means im not missing out on much anyway. What surprised me is that when I read the other comments on here from a year ago i see that they were told the same thing about find optic being installed also. Which tells me I was lied to. I have called and asked them to look at my usage one of the months that I didnt have internet and asked if they would refund it and they say we dont do refunds. They will take your money and dont care about customer satisfaction at all. Ive never considered satellite internet but anything has to better than this. I will go to great lengths to warn people to stay away from this careless thieving company.

Ive had them for several months, and honestly I could go on for days about how much of a scam is compared to other cable companies! the download speed is laughable, and they advertise "blazing fast", you cant even stream Netflix. for $120 a month I should be able to stream multiple videos and have a download going with no problem. That is most DEFINITELY NOT THE CASE! my cell phone has noticebly faster internet then this joke of a service. And the icing on the cake? DATA CAPS are you serious this is ridiculous! HAD I KNOWN THIS WAS THE ONLY INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER AVAILABLE I WOULD NOT HAVE MOVED TO SOUTHMAYD. That and their revenue service department (AKA police dept.) thank you for reading this review, if you care about your online experience you will not move to a town where this is your only choice.

I just have to say, that we had their services for 8 years and over the course of 5 years I worked from home and lost 2 jobs over the service I had, or should I say did NOT have. ! YES internet never works consistently and if you call in to the office and speak to the actual owner.. you better watch out! She has no Idea what customer service is or how to provide it. It is sad that they are able to continue to steal from people the way that they do. She also informed me that she wishes she could cancel all of her customers in East Grayson because she can not please ANY of those that live out there. The worst part about it is.. we dont have any other options for high speed internet really. They know this and they continue to provide highway robbery! What a shame!
