They overcharge big time on parts, twice as much from actual dealer. Their so called mgr Eddie tells me that by charging me twice as much for parts and then giving me my 15% Veterans discount, this is the only way Car-X Tire and Auto will allow them to give out Veteran discounts. Anyone with a 3rd grade level math would just say keep your 15% and charge a fair price for parts. Its very obvious this company is not hiring the sharpest tools in the shed and they have no integrity. Took my Cadillac SRX for repair, they broke chrome piece on front hood, and denied it the entire time. I spent over $1,200 for repairs and another $300 for chrome piece that they broke. Reached out to their so called mgr Eddie, said he would take care of it. Its been over a month, will not return my phone calls. Im having to continually call him and bug him. I called Eddie this morning, because he has not returned my phone calls, and he pretty much called me a liar. Thats fine, not gonna mince words "Einstein"..... I hope it was worth it Eddie, because every chance I get, I will speak poorly of Car-X Tire & Auto, your service, and your lack of integrity. At the same time, you can continue wondering, its right in front of your face (No Integrity), why your company has never done business with a National Fleet Service and why I will never do business with you ever again. Eddie, keep the $300, Its gonna cost you a lot more in the long run "Grinch"

Came here to use a Groupon voucher I had bought last year and that was about to expire on the 30th of March. I was running out of time before it expired for the full value, so we rushed my car over to get the oil change and see if we could fix some other issues where my break lights wouldnt turn off because of a bad switch. These guys replaced it even though I told them I had no money and couldnt pay them for it. The General Manager, Thomas McGuire, said I didnt have to worry about it. That kind gesture blew my mind...Ive so rarely seen a business or employee go out of their way for a customer, and I swore to him that when we go back next month after I have money, Im going to get the inspection done, and also pay him back for his kindness in full. Any GM or business that shows that kind of empathy deserves a chance. The GM Thomas McGuire, and one of the employees Jeremy are stand up guys, and I cant recommend these guys enough.

Anyone questioning the validity of this review: Im an Accountant and the son of an ASE Mechanic. This particular shop should be re-named Corrupt X Auto. Yesterday I stopped at Express Lube for an inspection. Express Lube said all I needed was a license plate bulb, and that there was no charge. I put in the bulb, and today while I intended on returning to Express Lube, I thought Id save time by stopping in this Corrupt X, since it was on my way. Corrupt X said I needed new tires, failed the inspection, and would still have to pay their inspection fee. I told the 2 guys off behind the counter and basically said they were crooks! They didnt even look at the rest of my vehicle! "You need new tires. Thatll be $14.50" Stay as far away from this shady outfit as possible. They will try to sell you muffler bearings if they could!

Never go here!!! The customer service was horrible. Everyone there looks like they just got out of prison. Oh and look out for that guy in the White BMW... (worst one there!!). This location on Culebra is corrupt and they try to pinch every penny out of your pocketbook. Had my car serviced there once and had to bring it back multiple times because the work wasnt done right the first time. As a manager myself I know customer service and honesty are key aspects in running a business. Trust me... if you do go... youll be on here just like me later on saying the same stuff due to your personal experience there. Save the trouble and take your car elsewhere!!!

My husband took our Prius there for an inspection and oil change on 10/18/2014. Today 10/26/2014 we discovered the tech that serviced our car, J Carrasco, didnt put the oil fuel cap back on. Which resulted in a large puddle of oil in the garage and who knows how much lost along the way? I did appreciate that after my husband left the business someone was kind enough to call to let us know they had forgot to give our proof of insurance back. Overall, based on our experience, I dont think wed use any of their services other than getting our cars inspected and thats only if they bays were open and we didnt have to wait.

Eddie and the staff here at CARx are awesome!!! I sent my wife there for a no start problem... Eddie and his crew of technicians brought in the Tahoe and did all they said they would... They DID NOT try to up sell her or take advantage of her in any way!!! Eddie is honest, trustworthy and above all a man of his word!!! These qualities are so hard to find in the automotive repair industry, but you can definitely find these qualities here at CARx on Culebra Rd. I challenge anyone to fine and convince me otherwise!!!

Amazing service! I went in for an oil change and had a coupon but it wasnt the correct one for the service I needed. The gentleman in the office then offered me a similar discount. While waiting he went over all the service that has been done on my car and what I need to look forward to in the next 10,000 miles. Thank you for the great service and not trying to sell me items I dont need. I will be coming back in 10,000 miles for another oil change and to get my tires rotated and balanced! Thank you!!!

Never go here!!! The service was horrible. Anyone questioning the validity of this review: they did inspection , could not know what the problem was?. They simply suggest some or other. Finally i had to take it to another place to get my car up and running Failed to do the basic inspection and shamelessly charged me 85 for inspection. I even gave 20% HEB discount coupon which they dishonored. Stay as far away from this shady outfit as possible.

Im not sure why people are dogging this business. I own a 2001 Ford Mustang GT and they took care of me as fast as they could. I was in and out for a simple oil change. Of course, I came in almost to closing time. Richard still made sure my needs were met with excellent care and concern for my vehicle. Even on New Years Eve which was my date of service. Thanks A++

Eddie and the Car-x staff here are awesome! Ive been coming here for awhile and, if given a choice, would not go anywhere else. Ive never felt like theyve ever been dishonest, and I know that whatever work my car needs will be done correctly. Ive always felt confident in their work and work ethic. Id recommend them to my friends and family for sure.
