Customer Oriented Service 2008 Camry Hybrid with a Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) System Warning message. Took the car to the local Manassas Toyota dealer, who ran a diagnostic scan producing a C0210 Code “Right rear Speed sensor circuit” error. The speed sensor (and hub) were replaced as they THOUGHT the inner workings were bad. (NOTE the wire harness was NOT replaced) $800+ later, they were unable to reset the code after a reported “ten hours” of trying, including testing all wiring from the “speed sensor to the ABS pump”. Their recommendation was to replace the Electronic Control (Stability) Computer (ECU), and that may not allow the reset of the code. $1,500+. Decided not to play “whack-a-mole repairs” and took possession of the car with no ABS/Trac…but a new speed sensor and hub. Enter COHO Automotive…I saw the amazing reviews in YELP (15, 5star reviews out of 15) and decide to give them a try. The company partner took charge of the work and within one hour had determined the problem was in the wiring system and (probably) not the speed sensor itself. He could not be sure as he did not have the original speed sensor. Since the “hard code” of C0210 was what triggered the replacement of the speed sensor, and the C0210 code was still there, the likelihood that the sensor was the cause was slim, but could not be ruled out as part of the problem. The wiring harness directly in front of and connected the speed sensor was replaced and the code reset. The ECU was not part of the problem. PRO COMMENTS: Since my requirements with COHO were specific, my critique will be oriented in that direction. 1. They made a thorough diagnosis the problem area of my car and within a short time had localized the issue. 2. More specific analysis discovered the problem to be not where the “professional at the dealership” thought it would be, who were ready to “go to the bank” trying to fix it; with NO assurances. 3. With COHO there was no statement of …“might not correct the problem”. There was a very definitive “we can fix this quickly now that we have identified the problem.” ADVERSE COMMENTS: 1. NONE. NEUTRAL COMMENTS: 1. COHO personnel are friendly and very knowledgeable with a variety of cars. 2. Customer centered philosophy was a breath of fresher air 3. The certifications for the mechanics are available on their website, as well as other useful information. This is important as you do not want them to “go to school” on your car, at your expense. 4. I would have like to see the mechanics “credentials” posted in the lobby instead of car photos. Gives the customer a good feeling that they know what they are doing.

I am a graduate student living down the street from Coho on the Prince William Campus, and I cannot recommend this place enough. After having some negative experiences at other places since moving here, Coho has given me such piece of mind that my car is receiving exceptional care. I also know that when I come to Coho, I will not be sold things that my car doesnt need, which was unfortunately the case at other places. My dad also feels relieved knowing that my car is being taken care of by such a great place, since I am much less knowledgeable about cars and am living on my own. The owners and people who work at Coho also make coming in such a great experience! They are so nice and friendly, and always do their best to care for my car as soon as they can. I never have had to wait very long for the services, although with the setup of the waiting area, I would be fine spending an entire afternoon or day here for bigger repairs! There are comfortable chairs, wifi, a big tv, a Keurig coffee machine, and even a toy area if you have kids!!! Come to Coho, you will not be disappointed :)

Weve lived all over the country and used a lot of mechanics- some good, not so good. These guys are the best by far. Completely fair, honest and capable at tackling a wide range of car problems. We have two older cars that have given us quirky issues over the years and Chirs and the Coho team have been able to handle each one with skill. Even good mechanics are often reserved and difficult to talk to- at this place, you can get a direct answer and none of your questions are treated as unimportant. Plus, they have only charged us what is reasonable and not a penny more. They will get prices on parts over the phone while you stand directly in front of them- a good sign. In fact, they have handled some of the little quirky things I mentioned above for free. My wife has also had to bring the car in three times now and was treated with courtesy each time by every person she came in contact with. Clean, modern waiting room and wi-fi while you wait. I cant believe a place this good exists in the overbuilt mess that is Northern Virginia!

I was initially upset when my truck broke down while I was away from my usual mechanic, but after a quick Google search I found Coho and couldnt be more pleased with their overall level of service. The communication was excellent every step of the way, and the diagnosis was professional and most importantly not an oversell. I had a $1500 dollar part put in, and after searching everywhere online the cheapest price I could find on the part was within a few dollars of Cohos quoted price...be weary of other shops that upmark parts by upwards of 40% so that they can make a profit on labor AND the necessary part. Talking with the head mechanic, Dan, revealed an extensive working knowledge of automobiles to accompany the excellent customer service Chris had. Thanks again Coho!

We were coming in from out of town hoping to buy a van advertised on Craigslist to be in "mint" condition and had selected Coho to do a pre-purchase inspection based on their excellent reviews. They were able to get us in that afternoon and did a thorough inspection despite the fact the guy with the van was 20 minutes late and it was right before closing time. The waiting area was extremely clean and comfortable, and we were grateful for the play area that kept our young children entertained. Coho found numerous issues with the "mint condition" vehicle and saved us from purchasing a headache. The friendly, fast and competent service we received was definitely a bright spot in an otherwise annoying ordeal. If we were local we would definitely return. Thanks Coho!

COHO AUTOMOTIVE is nothing short of exceptional. Facilities are clean and secure. The staff/technicians are technically proficient and very customer-oriented... hats off to co-founder Chris Coulter for an outstanding operation. Rather than taking my 2001 Boxster S back again to the original Porsche dealership in Tysons Corner for its annual servicing/state inspection and also a battery replacement, I opted for COHO AUTOMOTIVE after reading the consistent 5-star reviews, realizing its closer proximity AND discovering that key technicians were once a part of Currys Automotives previous staff. COHOs prompt work and customer commitment have earned my commitment to them for servicing all my vehicles.

The guys at Coho are awesome. They are very knowledgeable and honest. Recently debris falling off of another vehicle hit my wifes SUV while she was driving to work. We immediately took the car to Coho. Coho went out of their way to work with our insurance provider to ensure we received the right material to get the vehicle fixed fast. They even worked with an outside contractor to get our window repaired while they were working on the vehicle. Dealing with an unexpected accident, insurance providers, etc is a lot of work however it was very nice to know the one thing we didnt have to worry about was getting the vehicle repaired by honest mechanics.
