TLDR version: This is one of those places that if you dont know what youre doing, they will take advantage of you and you come out with a bunch more problems than when you came in. I went in for an oil change and they tried to convince me they found $700 worth of repairs that needed to be done right away. I asked them to let me know what the issues were and that I would then look into them myself. I also told them I had run a diagnostic on the car to check for any codes that came up and knew that there was a leak on the gas tank because of damage to the gas cap, but now that I had gotten a new cap, could they please just turn off the lights for me. They claimed they found another code that I hadnt noticed but they would have to run some tests to figure out why it had come up. I agreed to let them flush my power steering fluid, change my oil, then run a diagnostic for the additional code. All this came out to $300! I paid by phone and after I had hung up, I realized they hadnt even told me what became of the diagnostic. When I called back to ask for a summary of the services and costs he simply said that there was solinoid that he took out and cleaned off some oil on it, and it fixed the problem with the code--said this had probably all been because my oil was too low. So $100 for a power steering fluid flush, $100 for an oil change(??), and another $100 for essentially doing nothing other than cleaning some oil off my car. Because Im a young woman, I know they just saw dollar signs the minute I walked in the door. I feel like they definitely took advantage of me, and I should have definitely argued these costs. However, I am content this time to walk away, write my first scathing review, and say I WILL NOT BE COMING BACK.

I had a 96 lifted Cherokee with the passenger side motor mount bolts (all 3) broken off inside the engine block. After trying to get them out myself but no joy, I did a little research and found this place. These guys are legit. I dealt with Spencer who I think is the owner and have nothing but good things to say about him and this place. Plus, he used to wheel Jeeps so he gets some bonus points in my book. All things aside, the cost to remove them was fair and the job took less than 24 hours. Im always reluctant to take my Jeep anywhere to have someone else besides me work on it but these guys just changed my perspective a little bit.

If you like fake reviews and overpriced service this is the place for you! Dont be fooled by the reviewers created a day apart from eachother or the fact that they ar nearly all 5 stars and this is the only place they have ever reviewed (I mean who hunts out the internet to make one review never to do it again?) Anyway, went there, they tried to charge loads for extra stuff, service took nearly a week longer than we were initially told with our only car. At the time of writing this there were 7 reviews that are fake. all 5 stars except 1 which was a 4 star.

Ive had two great experiences with Kenmore Auto. AC did not work and because parts were not immediately available, they gave me a workaround. When I returned to make the repair they Spenser replaced a much less expensive and more available relay at a tremendous cost savings. More recently, Spenser estimated cost to repair some damage a mouse did to wiring in my truck. The repair was done quickly and at the estimated cost. I would recommend Kenmore Auto to anybody who asks! Knowledgeable, pleasant, and efficient.

Man... These guys are great. I work at a body shop up the street and occasionally we need mechanical help in a pinch. I can ALWAYS count on the guys at Kenmore Automotive to give us great service. You couldnt ask for nicer, more knowledgeable guys. I cant recommend them enough. If you are reading these reviews trying to decide whether or not to take your car to Kenmore Automotive, read no further. You will not be disappointed!

All the five star reviews dont mean crap when you are patient and wait two weeks, only to hear that they are still understaffed and still havent given your car a full diagnostic. Worst auto service Ive experienced. Im guess Im going to Gregs Japanese auto were people are actually friendly, know how to conduct business and work on the problem instead of wasting your time.

Dave & crew are not the norm for auto service, they really care about their customers & provide excellent service, paying attention to all the details. They were efficient, courteous, I was dropped off & picked up which is way above normal customer service. Dave saved cost to repair brake light problem. I would definitely recommend them to family & friends! Thanks, Dave

My experience with Kenmore has always been very positive. I have gone there for many, many years, and staff is knowledgeable and very straight forward. They are always honest and upfront with cost estimates and i have found there pricing to be more than competitive. I would highly recommend to anybody looking for a high quality, trustworthy mechanic.

Service was great as usual! We needed to get the fan blower fixed after it died during the coldest week of the year and David fit us in the very next day. The replacement blower runs a little louder then it used to, but a minor inconvenience given that our 94 Infiniti G20 still runs great after years of service at Kenmore Auto thanks to David and crew!

My experiences with your shop has always been top notch. You go out of your way to help repair my Jeep. The car is done when you say it will be, which is extremely important to me, and the work has held up as promised, although the EGR repair is only a few days old. I am confident it was done with pride on your part. Thanks

The service was good, I am holding off putting excellent service because they forgot to check why my anti-lock light was on while they had it for the whole day. However, they said to bring it back tomorrow and they will examine it for free, so I am giving them another shot at getting it right.

Spencer and his crew get the job done. They are honest and consistent in what they do. They are always busy (hint: that means that they are good) so I always make an appointment when they service my car. They will guarantee the job the do and will give you an honest recommendation!!
