So far I can say only good things about this shop. For years we are bringing our two cars here and received great service at a great price. The only negative I can think off was that once I was told that an issue I had with our Cavalier could be due to needing a tune-up. When I pointed out that they just did a tune-up on it 3 months ago they got things right and fixed the issue (malfunctioning ignition lock) promptly. Seemed like their computer records could be a bit better on all vehicles serviced but that was about it. On another occasion I had a check engine light and wanted it fixed to go through the emission test I had to do. I was told it could be due to a loose connection and after clearing the code I was told to run it through emissions and if there really is an issue it can fixed after that. Well turns out that was it, passed emissions and no issues since. They easily couldve charged me $200 and pretend to fix something but they seem to really just fix or recommend to fix things when it is truly necessary. Hard to find a mechanic like that nowadays. Highly recommended.

I used to love this place until they told me I needed a new timing belt which had just been replaced 6 months earlier. On another visit was told I needed a $450 spark plug and wiring job when I had just had brand new spark plugs put in when I had my engine replaced 1 year earlier. I also went in and had my sunroof drainage lines cleared and they replaced my headlight without asking and charged me. I always replace my own headlights and would have told them no to having them replace it. Lastly the last time I took my truck there for an oil change they changed my oil and put full synthetic oil and didnt tell me. When I took it to the shop the changed my engine they asked if I had asked for full synthetic and I told them no. Now Im stuck with $100 oil changes because of this shop taking liberties on what type of oil to put in my truck. Be careful they are very nice but if you are not knowledgeable about cars they will tell you that you need very expensive work done that you do not need!

I left a pretty bad review about this place after speaking to someone on the phone and getting pretty short responses. I followed up with what I "felt" was an almost detached conversation when dropping the car off. This left me with a feeling that being a long time customer means nothing to this company. After this I was contacted by the gentleman and he was truly concerned about the review. I personally think this is a HUGE step in assuring that you are running a company correctly and focusing on customer service. My wife and I are truly loyal customers to our chosen businesses and all I expect is to be treated, after a while, like a regular. I have chosen to change my review to this (4 stars). We will continue to patronize this company as the work we generally get done is QUICK and well defined. Thanks Lake Stevens Automotive. Remember the people that call you may have not had the same busy, annoying, or crappy day, shake it off before dealing with customers. :)

My neighborhood mechanic mentioned that I needed new brakes, but I was skeptical as to the cost I was quoted. Instead, I scheduled an appointment with Lake Stevens Automotive for the brakes and a couple of other items. I received a call later that day from them stating that my brakes were still OK, and didnt need to be changed yet. They also found some ways to save me a few bucks, even though they could have easily duped me. I really trust these guys, and I feel like I get straight talk from them. Nothing extraneous, just what needs to be done, and done right. My wife takes her car here as well and feels the same way. Well be lifelong customers.

Our experience with the Lake Stevens Automotive team has been nothing but positive! They have always been upfront and honest in their assessment of our cars problems and would call to discuss things before moving forward with any repairs. Once, rather than suggesting an expensive repair on our older vehicle, they advised us that it would probably be better for us to invest in a newer one. We have found the staff and mechanic crew to be friendly and efficient with the work done on our vehicles. Would strongly recommend their services to our friends!

Of course my car starts acting up on a Friday (right before the weekend) but I called Lake Stevens Automotive and they answered and were pollite and accomodating and asked me to bring it in for assessment (even short staffed). They called me a few hours later with great news (nothing major) and offered to replace a very dirty filter and said come on in and pick it up, shes ready. HIGHLY recommend them and will use them for all future mechnical needs with my car!

Im gonna start this off with the fact that my bill was LESS then the original quote which speaks volumes about their ethics. They had my repairs done in an extremely reasonable amount of time, even after I added on a tune up to the original request. The fact that I was able to drop my rig off and pick it up with out ever having to worry about meeting their business hours made this experience a great one !

Called in the guy was really short on the phone. Thought it might just be because some people dont come off very polite on the phone. Came in, and the guy asked what I was there for. When I explained he yawned as if I was disturbing his nap time, and when he came back to explain why my check engine light was on he came off as really rude when I asked for more information.

We recommend them to everyone we know! We unfortunately have had some cars that needed lots of work. They have fixed everything we have brought to them in a timely manner! It is usually not as expensive as anticipated, which is always great right!? Nothing but positive experiences with them!! As my teenager says 10 out of 10 would recommend!

I first brought my Nissan Sentra in when I was unable to access the engine compartment to replace an alternator and they had it done in an afternoon. Later when I couldnt get my car started they again had it fixed in an afternoon (throttle position sensor).

Scheduled an 8am appointment three days in advance. Showed up, on time, and was informed they "didnt have time to get to me today." No call, no email, just canceled as I walked through the door.
