Time Warner Cable is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with in my 36 years.: Tonight, Ive completely had it. Last week, I received a bill that was $10 higher than normal. Obviously, my promotion period ran out. I called to remedy the situation. A guy in the Philippines answers and tells me there is a great deal right now if I bundle a phone service. I dont care but obviously I will take the lower rate with the bundled service. He offers me my same channels, phone service, etc. for $153.02. Im happy, go on with my day. About 4 days pass, I get home tonight and for some reason my channels are not working, except local channels(Fox, ABC, NBC, etc.) as well as HBO. I figure it is a technical issue. After spending 40 minutes on hold, call center in Philippines informs me that is the package I agreed to. What???? Who in their right mind would pay that much for local channels and HBO? What a weird package. So, I spend another 30 minutes on hold waiting for a manager who finally answers and tells me to hold again....I hang up after 10 minutes. I have the call logs and will post them here if anyone wants to see. So, I call back, but this time ask to speak to someone in America. I dont ever do this but I feel that the Philippine workers dont understand the situation Im in or what was promised to me. They transfer me to the "home phone department." Very friendly guy from Tennessee. He tries to help me and tells me I should have more channels. After resetting my modem numerous times, no dice. Finally, after about a half an hour on the phone I ask him what my bill is. Well, turns out my current bill is $10 more than it was before, all for the great deal of having no channels except local and HBO! WHAT A STEAL! I was livid. I asked to be transferred to someone who could help, and this is where it gets good. The woman he transferred me to referred to her self as a "customer service specialist." She had a huge attitude and was the exact opposite of what that term embodies. I explained to her, at that point that I had been on the phone/hold with their company for 2.5 hours and explained my situation. At first, she seemed sympathetic and told me she would "correct the problem." So, she told me she would look at new promotions to figure me a new rate. Meanwhile, I told her what I was promised. She asked me for a operator ID # which I actually wrote down because of my bad experiences with this company. I tell her the #, 2514960. She rudely tells me thats "not a real #." This is the number their employee who takes calls on their 800 number gave me. This is how absolutely screwed this company is. They have 3rd party vendors working for them and they cant even track who they are, they give customers numbers that dont mean anything. So, after that, she keeps me on hold while "looking for good deals." I ask her how long it will be as Ive already been on hold or phone for 3 hours now, and she replies very snarky that she "doesnt know" and is trying to get the "best deal" for me. Well, let me tell you, after waiting(more like wasting) for another 30 minutes of my life she comes back with half my movie channels gone for the same price I was paying before. WOW, SIGN ME UP! I asked her if it was good business to either get my$150/month or $50 for 1 month and never again and she was dumbfounded. I told her to cancel my service and the imbecile couldnt even figure that out. She told me to hold, I hung up the phone. I am telling you, I have NEVER negatively reviewed a company in my life but if you have a chance, stay away from this company. They are the WORST. Im sure they will delete this on their page but I will continue to post everywhere I can. TWC is a joke, as soon as I became a customer, I sold your stock.

Absolutely the worst service provider Ive ever experienced. Ive had AT&T, and Cox, and was forced to use time warner because of my location. Save yourself the money and stress and DO NOT USE TIME WARNER. Not only is the customer service far below par (I have never been treated so poorly as a customer), but the quality of service they attempt to provide is honestly a joke. Internet speeds are garbage and the cable box itself is slow and outdated. Regular image stuttering, faulty internet connection, and no my router and modem are fine. After dealing with an agonizing year or crappy service and even worse customer service, I thankfully cancelled my service, but not without a HUGE hassle (of course right?). I tried calling 4 times over 2 days, each waiting on hold for about 20 minutes, only to be redirected to a line that is OUT OF SERVICE!!! You cant cancel you service over the phone without being given the run around to keep you on, but at the end of that they will tell you, "o you must take your device in to a store in order to fully cancel." So after waiting a few days to return my equipment, since no stores are open past 5, and us normal people with real jobs work 9-5, I was forced to come in on the weekend and they didnt even comp me for the 3-4 days of service in which I COULDNT even cancel if I wanted to. Rants and raves aside, this is a terrible company with terrible service and employees. Avoid time warner in any way you can, trust peoples reviews.

The worst service. A TW customer for 10+ years. Had ongoing tv reception problems. After 5+ calls, was told TW experiencing software problems. Was on the premium $200+ per month account. Wanted to end service, change to ATT, was put in a run around for two weeks, regular 800 number/techs could not help me, had to send me to a special number, special number for retaining premium customers, line never picked up, waited hours, when they finally picked up, said they could not help me, other times, they just disconnected. Tried 10x+ over a 3 week period to end my services. BTW, when I changed to ATT, was billed $600+ for my cable boxes. I luckily got the same TW tech on the regular 800 number, he had spoken to me about 5 times, he felt sorry for me, said this was happening to quite a few people, went around the TW rules and ended my service. Also arranged for TW to pick up my 5 boxes. Ending my ordeal with TW. Shame on TW for putting its premium customers paying $200+ per month in a scam where one could not opt out! Been with ATT for the last year, how refreshing, professional, great service. Easy to do business. Why would anyone in the world ever use Time Warner if they had ATT as an option?

I am in a senior community in San Diego. I was assured my monthly cost would remain the same with them for a year. It went up gradually to an increase of over 25% in 18 months. We were told by management that we could not have a dish or use any other cable provider. I have no premium channels, just basic cable along with my internet and land line. I attempted several times to find out why it was going up. I was reminded that I live in California. Really, I already knew that. Finally a few weeks ago I heard that ATT was allowed to provide service in my community. Not only is my bill less than $20 per month, I now have two premium channels, a beautiful picture and a box that actually works. I was on my 3rd TWC box and it was dropping shows I had recorded and not recording things I wanted. When I called TWC to stop my service, I had to speak with 4 different people to finally get the service to cancel. Rediculous!! Bye Bye TWC, the Coach needs to support a new team.
