Never do business with these people. They are completely incompetent. Ive had continuous problems with this company and they continue to get worse. The service cuts out. They dont answer the phones and leave you in hold. Then you get through and They cant even transfer calls!? they are a Tele communication company that cant transfer calls. I updated my reoccurring payments to a new credit card. I got a confirmation email saying I successfully updated my reoccurring payments with the last 4 numbers of my new card. Then i get a letter saying that my account has gone into delinquent payments because they charged my old card. And the only way i can continue my services was to come into their office and pay them cash because they tried a card that was removed from the reoccurring payments and Never charged the replaced new credit card. Their response was it doesnt matter if you updated you information online its the customers fault that they charged my old card because i didnt call them and do it over the phone. Really? Then why dont you answer the phones and why do they offer you the option to do it online? We went back and forth with her terrible attitude and i just had enough. So I asked to speak to a manager and the lady sets the phone down never puts it on hold i can still hear her and then she picks the phone right back up with her same attitude and says this is a manager. Im not stupid so asked for her name and she refused to give me her name. So I asked to speak to her manager and her response was I cant transfer calls. By this time in livid. Im to the point I wouldnt even take their services if they gave them to me for free. thats how bad they are. I Tried several times to call back and actually speak to a manager and after sitting on hold for over 20 mins I just hung up and cut all ties with this terrible company and horrible people they have working for them. On top of that they still call me 5 times a week to offer me other services and asking me if i want to upgrade my cable or internet. There is still way more that I want to express but dont want to write a novel about the incompetence of this company. DONT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY! YOU WORKED FOR IT AND THEY WANT TO TAKE IT AND GIVE YOU NOTHING!

I. HATE. SPECTRUM. Or Brighthouse/Charter whatever tf theyre calling themselves these days. How are you going to turn my service off then when we call you say we owe money (which we dont) and to turn it back on we have to pay $80 to have a technician come out. Then have the technician himself call me asking if I had ordered a 2nd box (which I didnt) and to call customer service to get it taken off. So I call and the lady says I owe $146 and that my bill went up like $30 because since my service was disconnected I was no longer grandfathered in with bundle I had with Brighthouse. Im like ok so if I take the phone off will it lower since I only had it because it made my bill cheaper, she said yes but I cant take that off right this moment you will have to call back tomorrow. Fast forward later on that night my service goes out AGAIN!!! I call and they tell me I owe $80 and Im like how? I was told a totally different amount earlier today and she say idk but until you pay that we will not reconnect your service, would you like to make a payment now over the phone? Im like no. So then I call again less than 5 minutes later to speak to a supervisor and I get yet again another freaking customer service telling me I owe $82 and that Im on a restriction to where I can only pay cash by going down to an actual spectrum/Brighthouse store...how tf did my total change in a matter of 5 minutes? If my account is on a restriction why was the rep before this one trying to get me to pay my bill over the phone? When my boyfriend got home from work I had him call them and they told him our account was at a $0.00 balance. Here we are a week later I call to get the phone service taken off my account and the lady I get tells me I owe $221

This is the most horrible experience in all my 74 yrs. These people turned off my phone service without notifying me. I called about a problem I thought was the internet, since I could not get on their internet either. I went through 2 weeks, and 3 supervisors (who knew nothing about the internet) and only when a tech came out did I learn that I did not have a modem/router which I was paying for, and my phone would not work if I use my internet. When questioned, Spectrum told me, "you have to use our phone and can no longer use the modem to plug in a different phone (I have Basic Talk). They also changed their policy on this in mid-service leaving me without a phone. I really do hate these people-no one knows what they are doing. Shame on Brighthouse - guess money does speak louder. If you sign up for a certain service, they will change it and not tell you. BEWARE Had to post the one * since you cannot post without it. They do not deserve any stars.

Have been forced to have Brighthouse, now Spectrum, for the last 9 years because besides satellite, they were the only providers. We have lived in 4 different places and the service has ranged from tolerable to absolutely horrible. The final straw was their last visit to the house we just bought. Speeds were much lower than they were supposed to be. They tried to blame it on our new wireless router even after my husband plugged the computer directly into their equipment. That was the last straw. He threw the technician out of the house and now were taking our chances with Frontier. So far we are very happy with the switch. Finally internet speeds at what the company claims instead of 1/5 of what we were paying for!

Their product is awful. The boxes are old and not effective. Their customer service is pleasant, but incompetant. Their level of intellgence is at the bottom of the scale. One hand doesnt know what the other is doing half the time. i was triple charged for their security, I hated it after spending a ton on cameras I can never use again, then I cancelled. The supervisor came out to disconnect the service, took all the equipment with him and said we will email you a receipt . We do everything electronically. Nothing ever arrived via email or paper and now i have a bill for 700.00 I am disputing, but getting no where. The company is awful. Oh yeah, I said that already!

Any other service is better. Had lower speed Internet before without cable and connection was decent, although it did go in and out often. Now with cable and higher speed Internet we cant keep a connection at all. Have had the box replaced, had to have whole house rewired bc technician that removed cable decided to also pull 20 years worth of wiring, which I had to pay to be replaced when I didnt even know it had been pulled, and even had to have over the phone technicians reroute lines numerous times. It seems they are trying to put too much through their cables. Have lived in 12 different states and this is the worst sevice by far!
