My inside unit got infested with spiders, and water got in from the roof, and my stuff was ruined. They didnt want to do anything to help me at all, until I had to threaten a lawsuit over breach of contract. I took photos, and after that, got refunded pretty quick. But, heres the other problem. The main building entrance security code? Its a default. Watch Spaceballs, youll find the passcode in that movie. Im dead serious. I wont say it here however, but youll figure it out. Spiders in a climate controlled unit thats supposedly sprayed? I was actually told "Well this is Florida" in front of customers.. Yes, customers. The customer standing next to me scoffed at the comment made to me while on speaker phone. I dont know whos managing this location, but after almost 10 years of no issue, to all of a sudden within 1 year lose my property, its disheartening to know they didnt really care at all. EDIT: I was informed via phone from a manager (Ill keep their name anonymous), that they werent aware I was threatening lawsuit. I promised that if I didnt say it, Id remove that part. Turns out, I did actually say it, but not to him specifically. Because I didnt say who I spoke to when threatening this, I am keeping this part of my review up, especially after last night on a phone call in front of witnesses, an agent on the phone spoke over me, refused to give me any form of written proof to what he was telling me, and declining to let me record him so I could have record of it. After this, he spoke over me, then hung up on me saying I was cussing at him. Problem here is, I never swore at him, and after he wouldnt email me anything. Unbelievable, and I had friends over. None of them were PS customers, but I can guarantee after that, they were certainly not going to ever be customers. Moral of the story to PS: Never treat customers with disrespect, especially after they have lost a lot of their property. I had to have help with the office worker to throw stuff away, so they know first hand I was forced to do so, it was ruined, I lost stuff. Never hang up on a customer, never dodge phone calls, and needing to climb corporate ladders to get one, and especially: Dont lie about a customer, especially when theres witnesses. Word of mouth travels pretty fast. (To PS, if you dont believe me there were witnesses, listen to the recording of that call, you will here someone speak up saying I wasnt cussing--proof is in the pudding.) Its a shame that after almost 10 years (8 years to be exact), it had to end this way, when I had no problems before this. I fully expected you to make right on it as I never really had much of an issue, other than my cost of a small locker unit going from $20 to over $56 in 8 years. You messed up bad, no one ever really apologized except the manager when he originally credited my account. I dont think you guys realize how lucky you were I was willing to accept a simple credit rather than go through insurance, which would have been harder on you in the long run. I was the nice guy, you were the one who shot first---when you insulted me that day in the office on the phone in front of a customer and worker. Have a good one, sincerely, a never returning customer.

Over the years I have rented a number of units from this facility. Most of these rental experiences have ranged from being just "okay" to feeling like Ive just been "violated" in the worst way. However, todays experience with the facility manager, Christina has actually compelled me to write this review. What a real ray of sunshine Public Storage has found with this employee!! I had already reserved a storage unit online and came in the store to complete the rental and was quite surprised at being met by someone who is very personable, friendly, knowledgeable with a genuine concern for her customers and a strong desire to help. Christina took the time to show me the unit first to confirm it would meet my needs and even suggested other possible options. Most customer service oriented businesses could really learn a lot from this outstanding lady. Since perception is the reality (right or wrong), this individual has positively and profoundly changed my perception of renting from Public Storage. It was an outstanding experience and in fact, I highly recommend bypassing all other Public Storage locations and do all your business with Christina here in this location. It was truly a Five Star experience. THEY DID IT AGAIN !! A follow up experience ............. After renting the above unit, I had an issue with it and wanted to be switched to another the same size. The problem was is that I got the online price AND the 50% off the first month offer. I was aware they had another like unit available but "corporate" had not yet posted it to the website. The office price on that unit was higher and I was told I might lose the 50% off offer if I switched and that looking and checking for it to be posted on the website would likely be my best option (in which I spent 3 days doing so). Then out of the blue, I get a call from my Public Storage office from TOCCARRA asking how my move went and if there were any issues (Christina was off for the day). I told her about my wanting to switch and the issue with me possibly losing the 50% offer issue and she said she would try to help but would have to call her District Manager. Now I have spent days checking the Public Storage website looking for this alternate available unit that wasnt posted afterall. Within 2 hours Toccarra calls me back with good news and tells me I have been switched over for the same offer and to come in to complete the paperwork. HOW OUTSTANDING !! Thank You So MUCH, Toccarra for the GREAT SERVICE and the Headache Relief. I never met this lady and she was just filling in that day but she was willing to go many extra miles to help me and put a smile on my face. Im planning to be a long term customer here. I have rented a unit at this facility for years now and had the most pleasant experience with the new property manager, Christina. She is very helpful and a great addition to this company. Thanks for all your help!!!! I just had to add this...I was at the Storage facility on Saturday, there was a man inside raising holy heck..He was rude, nasty and completely out of his mind. This man continued stating how his daughter is in college but after coming in and seeing the unit she agreed to after seeing it , didnt realize that it was not A/C. Mind you he kept saying she was in college...he was so angry and was not listening to anything the Manager had to say, she offered more times than I can count to transfer to a "climate control" (indoor) unit but no he wanted what he wanted and did not care what any solution that was offered to him. He was just one of those people that has to control everything and make everyone around him miserable!!!! So Congrats to Christina...she handle herself so professional, kind and reasonable and this man continued to berate her and the company. She went over and above being polite and courteous more power to her. She should have just thrown that man off the property for his rudeness!!! Cudos to her!!! 4/28/2014 12/2/14 I called yesterday and spoke to the nicest young lady!! The people in the office are always so very pleasant to deal with even when they are not in a position to fix your problem they go out of the way to make sure everything they can do is done. Thank you Christina! 1/12/15 Sure is nice to go into the office of your storage unit and get greeted in such a friendly way! I recommend this place to everyone who wants to be more than just a check every month!!! It was nice to see the same friendly face...Thanks again Christina!!!
