I reserved a U-Haul online a week before my moving date. They called me to confirm the order the day before I got the truck, which I thought was great. That was about the end of the great service. I got to the Uhaul dealership and proceeded to wait in line. And wait. And wait for some guys credit card to get rejected. And for some woman to have to run to her car to pay with cash. And for the guy at the counter to make small talk every two seconds. I waited for 45 minutes...with only three people ahead of me. Then, when I finally, finally get to the counter, they told me my reservation was for a local truck. What does that mean to me, the guy who was moving 33 miles away? Oh, Id have to bring the truck BACK to the same location because you messed up the reservation? I have to inconvenience myself because you screwed it up? Great, thats exactly what I wanted to hear on an already stressful moving day. "Oh," the guy at the desk says, "Well only charge you for a one way move". Yeah, darn right youre only going to charge me for a one way trip. What an incompetent asinine worker. So I finally get my U-Haul after about an HOUR wait, and I had to bring the stupid truck back, even though I wasnt planning on it. But hey, there was "nothing they could do", which is absolute garbage, because theres always something you can do for me, the PAYING COSTUMER.

Loooong story....making it short. They rented a truck without oil and without windshield water!!! From Bellwood to New Mexico it broke down twice...called assistance and got automated system saying to go online ....(mind you we were out passing dessert areas with no wireless connection)my husband had some meccanic experience and had quarts of oil with thank God!!! Also realized truck was so old that it had a small sticker infront part of lower glove compartment saying it had no airbag!!!! I was pissed!!! And the noise the enginw made...we could hardly hear each other speak. Shame on them for renting a truck in that condition to a family on such a long journey.

We use uhauls at least twice a month for our business. Usually our UHAUL experiences are overall great but I must say this is my least favorable experience with uhaul. These guys are scammers! Watch your invoice when you return the equipment to make sure they arent sticking false fees and surcharges on your bill! Had our returned mileage modified once i got my emailed bill to include 5 extra miles that were never drivien, as well as a furniture dolly that was never in the truck! The guy also insist we put more gas in the truck than we started with or be charged. Time to purge management here UHAUL out with the old and in with the new!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE - I went there to have a tow hitch mounted to the bottom of my car and wired properly. When the trailer was attached, it blew the fuse for my turn signals and hazard lights. Ended up driving the whole way back without either. Had to pay additional $70 bucks to fix the issue. It wasnt a simple change the fuse because the faulty wiring kept blowing the fuse.

They kool for moving but it dont really matter when you go to get a truck they dont really have a good system for who has what truck and when it should be back but its not there fault its who comes to rent them the people dont bring them back on time so it messes it up for everyone else and plus they are understaffed

Everyone there is very friendly even tho my reservation got screwed up I know it was mostly my fault because I made it 1 week ahead of time and it was near a busy time i should have known. They were a great help.
