In one sentence - seedy place with questionable business practices. As a perspective renter I was about to rent a small storage space to store some old, used furniture. Took a tour the place only to notice musky old smelling lockers. Looks aside, I still decided to give this place a chance only to be pressured to buy their "recommended" pad locks. The best part came when I was asked to provide proof of homeowners insurance that covers items stored in public storage lockers or to pay $9 extra per month. Waivers of liability dont exists so either you beef up your homeowner policy or your cost goes up by $9 per month taking it beyond advertised prices -- can you say "hidden fees"? Nowhere on their web page (thats where I was getting my pricing info - try it for yourself - you try reserving online!) they state the need for proof or insurance or extra fees will apply. They also have failed to mentioned it when I called them on the phone to confirm availability and pricing. Ended up walking out on the guy (and glad to do it) as this place clearly reeks of hidden fees and hassles. Thanks but no thanks!

Actual storage spaces are OK. We came in around Nov 2015, the agreed contract cited the payments at $40/month total, which fitted our personal budget and space needs. We received a letter 2 weeks ago telling us that rent charges are going to go up to $60/month. I mightve expected a price hike, but NOT this MUCH and definitely NOT this SOON (only 7 months in). This is a ridiculous 50% more in charges for the same space, imaging renting an apartment at $800/month and seven months later the landlord telling you its going up to $1200!! This undoubtedly is an unfair price hike, we decided to call to negotiate a new lower price point. We called the manager by the name of Aubrey, and the only reasoning given pertaining to the up charge, is that the current rates are much higher. This is totally unacceptable and we will not do business with them in the future. I recommend going to a better place with reasonable business practices, not shady practices like the one we just encountered.

These people here are awesome ... I was looking for a 10x15 unit and a small unit of 5x5 heated one. I made a reservation for two units. Aubrey called me right away and have a brief discussion of the units... she informed me that Thom will take charge of me if I might checked the units... the next day Thom was there and he showed me the units and made a final reservation for the two units... for the time of my move in at Simply Self Storage, Jason was there to do all the paperwork that needs to be done... overall I can say you guys are also SIMPLY AMAZING... you guys helped me all throughout with my units... nice working with you guys...

After searching for several self-storage places in the Glenview area I happened upon Simply Self Storage. I ended up speaking with a young gentleman named Tim, and he was more than happy to answer any questions I had. He was extremely helpful, gave me advice and very professional. Great customer service goes a long way and Tim more than delivered. His eagerness to help was my deciding factor to use Simply Self Storage in my up and coming move, and I would like to personally thank him for all of his help.

No complaints. I started paying 17$ per month (plus 9$ insurance) for a climate controlled 5x3. They did raise the price (I think across all units) 3$ while I was there, but I can hardly say $20 per month is unreasonable. Aubrey works the front desk and is very cool, but I dont know that that matters much when youre choosing your storage needs. A thing to know is that you need 10 days notice to move out. It didnt cause trouble for me or anything, its just a thing to know.

Only at Simply Self Storage for three months, but Aubrey made sure we were well taken care of from start to finish. Her dedication to making sure we were happy with our stay shined through on each stop. The complex allowed us great access to our unit and the facilities were always well managed and tidy. We felt that our unit was secured and didnt have any issues. Id highly recommend Simply Self Storage Glenview to anyone looking to store their belongings!

Toured the facility today. I was disappointed in the size of the units and they were very different than listed on the website (smaller). I was impressed, however, with the customer service that I received from Aubrey. She was very knowledgable and friendly, and she made a point of trying to find something that would fit my needs.

Storage unit is fine. BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES. After 6 months they raise my rent 15% . 10 months later they raise it 17% more again without notification. IN 16 MONTHS THEY HAVE RAISED MY RENT 32% AND WITHOUT NOTIFICATION.
