Great tires, shady staff. Weve purchased several pairs of tires through Suburban, and weve had several rotations and balances done. Similar to everyone else, they always seem to find some kind of "problem" as theyre servicing a car. The last time I ran my car there for a rotation and balance (which is free if youve bought tires/suspension) they fiddled around with the brakes before telling me they needed replacement. They even walked me back into the shop to "show me" that there was some wear. Not enough to warrant replacing, but enough that the brakes had been worn down in the two years since I last replaced them by hand. They wanted to charge me somewhere around $400 to swap them out, and were very irate when I insisted that I could do them myself. The tire selection is fantastic, dont get me wrong. If you buy your tires here the price is fantastic for what youre getting. The service has always been pretty expedient for me and my family, and the lounge is pretty nice. If you are thinking about going here for tires, dont let them talk you into fixing a "problem" without first consulting someone else or knowing about it.

I am so disappointed in Surburban Tire. My husband, my extended family and I have been going to ST for over 10 years, and with 6 cars and numerous referrals in the loop, you would think they wouldnt try to pull a fast one. How wrong I was!!! For almost every family member, they have initially quoted for a small job and suddenly discovered an expensive issue that has you over a barrel - the last straw for me today was going in for $480 tires and leaving in disgust having had to pay over $1,300 for brakes and calipers that froze in their hands and suddenly had to be replaced. They also tried to get me to pay for replacement air filters that were replaced at a service 6 weeks ago - so they were either trying to scam me on that today or didnt replace them 6 weeks ago when I paid for them. Awesome, right? No apologies, no discount, nothing. My sister had the same issue suddenly (amazingly coincidence right!?!) and that was the last straw for her. Tonight has been for me. My husbands last straw was a quote for $800 for a cracked radiator that was fixed for $140 elsewhere. Such scammers! Go elsewhere!!!

I used to come here for regular oil changes as it is very close to my work. Unfortunately, every time I dropped my car off their was always a "problem". As i have an older vehicle I really didnt think too much of it until I was told I needed new steering wheel fluid. Interestingly enough I had Suburban replace it 2 weeks prior. When I mentioned this to the service rep who I was speaking with I was not offered any explanation other than "someone messed up". This leads me to believe either the service was never originally done (But was paid for), or I was told I needed an unneeded service. Also, when picking up my vehicle from this last "service" I found that their was a grinding sound when I turned my wheel. I took my vehicle to a shop that was recommended to me and they found that my wheel bearing had been damaged. When I spoke with my co-workers I found that they do not take their vehicles here because as they explained it "They always find problems". I would not recommend this shop.

We have done business several times with this tire shop. We were appalled that this company truly is a wolf in sheeps clothing. After a tire from our car was determined unrepairable, we decided to purchase a new tire from Suburban Tire. After my husband reviewed the price with one of the employees, he was given all the fees that is added to the price of the tire such as rebalancing of the wheel, installation, tire disposal. However, when my husband paid the bill, he was confused as to why there was a $10.00 fee for placing the spare back in the trunk. No mention on this fee prior to installing the tire. My husband was livid and brought this to the employees attention. The employee was "uh uh", and then trying to explain this padded bill. My husband told him "you obviously need the money more than me". Needless to say, that $10.00 fee that they decided not to disclaim to their customers, lost their business with us forever. I hope it was worth it Suburban Tires!

I called them to have them swap my summer tires with winter tires (already mounted and balanced on rims - just swap the wheels) and confirmed there is no charge. Usually other tires people (e.g. discount tires) dont charge just to swap the wheels. After the job was done, they asked for money and I said I called before to confirm but they kept on saying I never called, implying that I am lying ! Mike Meyer is the rudest person I have ever met and he is driving the business away. He kept on saying "we dont do anything for free, sir" and would also interrupt when I am talking to the other person. They are getting one star because they trusted me to get the credit voucher I had which i didnt bring because I was told there will be no charge. I paid over $900 for the same tires purchased from them just last year. You would think they would do something for the long time customer.

Ive been going here for all my tire needs since I was old enough to drive and ruin tires on my own. Theyve remounted tires Ive knocked off of wheels when driving like an idiot, replaced worn out baldies, patched a whole slew of em, and most recently replaced a blow out. They do free tire rotations as well, which is nice considering my dealer charges something ridiculous like $50 to do the same work. Very courteous staff and a great team of guys in the pit doing the work. Though with the most recent blowout (Nokian with 20k miles on it, also purchased here) I was a bit disappointed that it wasnt covered under Nokians great warranty, they did give me the same price I originally paid when I put four new ones on the car. Ill be back since I still drive like an idiot and my tires are still debris magnets.

Jeff, one of the owners, answered when I called for a price to install tires I was planning to order cheap over the internet. After telling me the price, he asked permission to try and sell me tires, which I agreed to, with zero intention of doing so. He asked pointed questions about what I did and didnt like about present and past tires, what brands Id tried, then suggested Nokian tires. They were expensive! He said to consider them, look them up on the internet and decide for myself. No push, no hard sell. Well, after reading excellent reviews I decided to try them out. Am I glad I did. These tires stick in snow and ice better than anything Ive had in the past. My light Mazda with its low profile tires feels more solid than I could have believed possible. I am VERY glad I phoned Suburban Tire.

Had new tires put on my honda on a saturday in November. Unfortunately, after putting the wheels back on the car the rear passenger side wheel was still loose. In fact one of the lugs nuts was left completely off. I noticed immediately from the clunking sound when I pulled into traffic and immediately drove back. The employee who pulled the car up should have noticed as well. Once back at the location they stood around in the parking lot to tighten and torque the lugs and replaced the lost lug with a random one from the shop. Tightening and torquing lug nuts should be a very basic part of a tire shops work. Not doing it is deadly.
