Switching back to Comcast - and I used to think Comcast sucked because the customer service was so bad, which it certainly is. Really. Im supposed to get 15meg down and 5 up on my WOW internet. Heres what the Ookla speed test indicates today: 2.3 down and 1.6 up. And this is not the first day of having issues with my internet speed. Ive had slow internet about 20-30 times over the last 18 months. Ive had the WOW repair man come 6 times over the last 16 months. I do admit that when you call WOW customer service you will immediately get a real, live, north american sounding, nice person on the other end, who will set up a repair appointment for you quickly and efficiently (sometimes even on the same day) but, Id rather just have good reliable internet and cable service. Did I forget to mention that theyve moved the cable box twice, and replaced it 3 times, rewiered the outside cable with new cable and I still have cable tv that cuts out about once a month?! I guess I have to go back to Comcast - even though their customer service is horrible. At least I might not need to contact Comcasts customer service since the internet and cable tv reliability at least was so much better. If WOW internet and tv cable was reliable and if they gave you internet speeds that you actually are paying for it would be great - but it is not and they are not.

Garbage service. Dont get me wrong; their customer service is top notch and congratulations for handling infuriated customers with class and grace. They still have way better customer service than Comcast. That being said, theyre a Mickey Mouse business. Since Ive signed up with them starting on August, my internet and cable television would intermittently shut down and stop receiving service anywhere from 10 minutes to 2 hours. This would occur at least once a day, at least a dozen times a week. I finally had it when their cable and internet service shut down DURING AN ENTIRE QUARTER OF THE BEARS VS PACKERS GAME, PRIME TIME MONDAY NIGHT. It wasnt just me; it was the entire neighborhood. A lot of people in my neighborhood have WOW and we were all freaking out. What really peeved me off was that their national hotline numbers were down at that time, so literally you had customers without service and you turned a blind eye to them. If you dont mind shoddy service, not-so-great quality of channels on TV, and importantly if the internet and TV disconnect on you for hours and that doesnt bother you, then by all means pick it up. However if youre trying to pretend its like Comcast service at a cheaper rate, just pick up Comcast service. Youll be happier in the end.

This used to be a great company. I do a lot of surveys online, and I would assume Im part of the reason theyve been so highly rated in customer satisfaction. Now theyre trying to screw you out of every dime they can. Theyll charge you $40 to come out to your house to UPGRADE services. Then when I drive into their office, they dont even give me all of the equipment I need. They wont tell you how much it costs for certain upgrades until you do it. Reason = Half the time theyll give you better service for the same cost. They just want you to keep paying more for the worse service. Their Internet used to be 100% reliable, now they have outages like every few weeks. They charge you $5 a MONTH to rent a crappy modem that you could buy online for about $2. Yet another example of screwing people who dont know better. You would think they would treat a customers a lot better when they can be paying over $2000 a year for services. Especially someone whos been a customer for about 10 years.

WOW is by far the worst cable and internet Ive ever had. The channel line up sucks, its basically basic cable with a few extra irrelevant channels. The internet is unbelievably SLOW, you cant watch a YouTube video with out it stopping consistently. You cant watch Netflix without speed issues. The packages are too expensive. On demand is trash, hard to navigate and not much to choose from. Customer service is nice and somewhat polite but obviously trained to overlook WOWs trashy service. Ive had a technician come out and look at this crap and he said its basically as good as it gets. I didnt renew my contract at Comcast to try out WOW. Im going back to crappy Comcast. Its WAY better than WOW. Dont waste your time or money on this trash.

This company is the worst customer service on the phone and the Service technicians as well. Had 3 technicians out and ALL of them could not fix the issue. The lead Tech was on his phone in MY home talking about the previous ones could not fix the problem needless to say he couldnt fix it as well. I new what the problem was but would not give this guy the satisfaction to point it out. He probably did not get to the end of my block and I had it ALL working perfectly. Needless to say dont trust people who push that they know more than you when they really dont.....

I have to agree with others that Im surprised by the poor reviews. WOW! blows away competitors in the area like Xfinity/Comcast, Uverse (AT&T), or DirecTV. They recently upgraded me to a very modern HD box which has netflix included. I can record HD shows, and use my login for VOD all over the net. The internet is incredibly consistent. In 10+ years Ive had maybe 15 minutes of downtime in the middle of the night (which they gave credit for, btw). They upgrade you occasionally for free. These people deserve your business.

Its so hard for me to believe these poor reviews. I cant get WOW in my area and its so disappointing because hands down it was the most reliable internet and cable TV provider I have ever had. Easy to work with customer service, great rates, fast internet speeds (no segmentation , shared broadband) always the same down speeds. In the 5 years I had their service I only had to have a tech out twice. The only negative I would give them is that their service is not available in the far south west suburbs.

WORST customer service. VERY BAD service. Do not buy their service. Not professional at all. They all have attitude towards the customers. They do NOT fix the problem. They take they sweet time to fix. Dan is the only customer service person who you have to talk to but if he’s not in then you’re SOL. They say internet is high speed and reliable, but it’s clearly not. My phone service barely works. So I’m missing 95% of incoming calls, which is bad for my business. Over all VERY BAD service.

this company is not trustable, it is outdated and disorganized. Because of their records not up to date, they take decisions that affect peoples credit. I am in the process of filling out complains with the BBB and AG and also with a Consumer Proteccion Agency. Service was terrible and I had to cancelled and go with AT&T which I am very happy with it. Be careful, try to get any promises in writing. They lie when you call over the phone and later they change those promises. Do not trust them

Great customer service, reliable internet, and cable connections. You get a tremendous value when you sign up with WOW! in their product offering, the cost of equipment, lack of erroneous fees, and generally pleasant disposition. I originally tried signing up with another cable provider ::cough::Comcast::cough:: and was taken aback by how they failed in every possible service metric. Ditched them and never looked back. Thank you WOW!
