have had cable since it came to Schaumburg - all companies. when WOW came it was great. good service, good equipment, etc. then they went digital and went right down the toilet! I have been fighting with them for 2+ years about problems since they went digital. seems (according to their service techs) there is a problem in Schaumburg and engineering is "working on it"! NOT FIXED! I just got tired of fighting them. Call for service - you can be on hold for over an hour! their tv commercials say same day or next day service - NO! try 8-9 days later! they changed their cable bundle - took away Starz and Encore - and want the same price! no discount for losing those movie channels! NOTHING! my caller ID keeps shutting itself off on both TVs. I have one DVR box that shuts itself off, turns itself on, freezes, and today has been off for 8 hours no matter how many signals they send! I have tried all the "tricks" because I know them well from having to use them so often. NOPE! So after sitting on hold for 80 minutes listening to their bragging about their award winning customer service, etc., I finally got a gal who could do nothing. and the soonest I could get someone out was 8 days away! or I can take the box to their shop and switch it out and hope that takes care of the problem! I told her I will try that but if it doesnt work I will be back on the phone! Im retired and can sit here all day! I was so happy with WOW to start with! absolutely no complaints! NOW? DISGUSTED! am calling BBB and filing complaint with Village about WOWs service. Netflix sounds better or just buy movies! this is my experience - hope if you go with WOW you have a better one. maybe they will get their stuff straightened out, improve their service and then Ms Abdoula can make her commercials and they will be true. she needs to get OFF the tv and start realizing her company has problems!

I feel sorry for some of the people here: my experience has been much different. Ive been through most of the major Internet service providers since the original Excite@Home almost twenty years ago, and various dialup providers before that. Comcast absolutely pulled my cork: one thing after another with them, couldnt wait to leave, SBC DSL (slower than molasses on Pluto), AT&T U-Verse (extremely reliable but limited to no more than 18 mbit/sec.) among others. So I was pleasantly surprised by Wow! Ive been on their network for about a year and a half (they were recommended by one of my coworkers, another software engineer.) Ive had exactly one technician visit: the ten minutes it took to install and provision my service. Im on the 600 mbit/sec tier, and I could not be happier: I am a heavy user both up and down (the 40 mbit/sec backchannel is awesome) and their service has performed flawlessly. Note: as a cord-cutter I dont have anything but Internet, though, so I cant speak for their television or phone services. I agree with some of the other users that the stock router/gateway they provide is garbage, but so are those provided by Comcast, Time-Warner and others (mostly Arris doorstops.) On the other hand, they have no problem with your using your own gateway, and even have a list of approved devices right on their Web site. Their network is DOCSIS 3.0-compliant anyway, so bringing your own device (and saving the rental fee) shouldnt be a problem for anyone. Also, it should be noted that in many areas Wow! runs over Comcast infrastructure, not their own. That is probably the source of many of the complaints. Im fortunate that my town has everything installed and maintained by Wow!

DO NOT USE WOW!!!!!!!! First, you pay WAY too much for just basic cable, they offer very few channels without nickel and diming you for every addition. My husband and I were never happy with it, but unfortunately we lived in an apartment building that could only receive this service. It was a terrible 2 years. We have been so thrilled to live elsewhere and to finally move on to better service with a different country. HOWEVER, in the move, we forgot to return the equipment, which I know was our fault. BUT, instead of contacting us like a normal company by phone or mail to give us a reminder or a warning, they took $400.00 out of our bank account WITHOUT our permission. We have already taken legal action against them, but it is enfuriating. They have been unapologetic and refuse to see how they could have handled the situation any differently. If you are looking for customer service and HONEST people, do not use WOW. They will literally steal your money.

Have had WOW for a couple of months now and things could not be better! The Cable is $40 less than I was paying with DISH. Recording shows on the TV is So. Much. Easier! There is an app for phone/tablet so that I dont have to scroll through the alphabet on the TV screen with my remote control. The Internet service is much faster than my last provider (AT&T) for less money also. All in all, I save$60/month for Internet & Cable and have much faster, better service. Additionally I have 3 TVs connect instead of 2. The one time I have to call customer service after installation I did have to wait a bit to talk to someone, but the rep was USA-based and took care of my billing issue quickly and I never had to call again. Wish I would have switched sooner.

Id give them a 1/4th of a star if I could. WOW used to be awesome, but somethings happened. The reps in the US are great, but getting to speak to someone will take you hours. The internet speeds are slow, Ive even upgraded to try and make it better but alas, it hasnt worked. I referred my Parents, and they have had the service for 3 months. over the course of this time weve spent approximately 10 hours on the phone trying to get their service to work correctly, and its yet to be right. I COULDNT BE MORE DISAPPOINTED with how things have gone for the company. Whatever changed the upper management have made have completely killed the company. Its ridiculous. Im left with a WOW frequently .... just not the right kind.

After having this company for years my pricing kept changing and going up each month. After finally working days with someone in a differ department we agreed on a price and I was told "we would have that price for one year." 6 months later they are telling me that was not a contract and they did not start contracts until July if this year, however my contract I signed clearly stated it is a contract from 2012. My rates this year alone kept jumping $10 each month from 129 to 177. They did nothing and can no longer promise you rates. Allen one of the managers did nothing and would not honor what I was told.

I hated my other provider and wish I would have changed sooner. I bought 600Mbps for the same price as my Blast service of sometimes 75Mpbs. Im flying now online and my speed test is so much to watch it max out at 300Mpbs and restart to nearly hit it again ..........FAST!! WOWs service was great!! I told them I canceled my other provider that morning and they sent someone to get me connected the next morning. This is now fiber to my home and I can enjoy my AppleTV movie loads in moments rather than waiting for it to load. :)
