We have dealt with Compass on a couple of occasions. I have tried to keep this review as objective as possible, but the moral of the story is to avoid this place if you can. First, we priced storage with them and were contacted no less than 5 times regarding follow ups. We finally had to block their number to prevent continued communication. I would guess this is an instance where their corporate office is not communicating with local employees. Our next instance dealing with them was during a return of a UHaul truck, trailer, appliance dolly and moving pads. I returned to them early on a Sunday morning and followed the directions for returning everything. Five days later, I received a $25.44 mystery charge. Luckily Amex notified me of the charge because Compass did not. When I called and inquired, I got Keara on the phone and she was not very helpful. I didnt know that I needed to fold the 24 moving pads in the back of the truck, so she charged me $1 each and then threw 6% KY sales tax on top of it (which is actually not right because folding would have been a non-taxable service). I pleaded my case that I was never told I needed to return them in folded condition. She said there was signage included with the pads, but I received them in a bulk clear bag of a dozen, so I definitely did not receive language regarding folding. She also indicated there was signage in the truck, but it was dark out, and I didnt see anything posted. I absolutely would have folded them had I known they needed to be folded, but I didnt. She went as far as saying "well, thats the fault of the place you picked them up at". I told her that she should charge the other location if that was the case, but her response was that the other location didnt bring her the truck with unfolded pads in it. I told Keara that she was being a bit rude with that response, and I felt she was unwilling to work with me. She said she was just stating facts and doing what Uhaul tells her to do... Pass the fees on to the customer. So, with no recourse and Keara unwilling to budge, I indicated to her that I would be charging back the fee because I did not authorize it nor did I agree with it. I also told her that she had left me no choice but to leave them a bad review. Heres the kicker... She said "have a good weekend doing that" and HUNG UP ON ME. Ive since dealt directly with Uhaul on this, but I will never do business with Compass again and I strongly recommend you heed my warning and take your money elsewhere. Aside from their customer service shortfalls, the place seems nice enough. Lot is a little narrow for Uhaul returns so with a full lot it can be difficult to navigate a larger truck and trailer through.

overall the staff has been very friendly. however one day when my husband put things in the unit he forgot to make sure the latch was slid over, so when he put the lock on it was not really locked. when i went the next time the door was up about 6 inches. i would have expected the staff to notice this and give me a call to see if i was aware of the situation. also our bill just went up over 10% we have only been renting the unit for about 9months. this is a huge increase for a non climate controlled unit. i own a rental property and would never get away with raising my rents by that much. for heavens sake it is an empty room with no heat or a/c. once again the employees are great the unit is clean but i am not happy with this increase. a couple dollars seems more reasonable

I went into the Sam neace location on January 17,2017 to purchase a box so i could send back my broken carpet cleaner to Hoover. The sales people were extremely nice and professional. They went out of their way to help me and accomodate me. I would recommend this location to anyone. They made sure I was satisfied and then some before leaving . Next time i need to rent a truck , i will be sure to visit this location. Thanks again!!!! You were a great blessing to me in m any ways more than helping me find a box big enough to fit my carpet cleaner. I believe GOD sent me to this location. I was having a crazy day.

We called and stopped in several storage places to store our parents things. This was a very emotional and stressful day for us to say the least and when I walked into this store I knew from the words "Hello! How are your today" that we choose the right place. Keara was very kind and helpful and made our move so smooth she even set up our one way Uhaul truck in Southern Ky to move up next week in. I cant thank her enough. This was beyond a blessing while we are facing some hard times right now. I would recommend not only Compass but this particular location to everybody I know. Great job Compass!!!

I had never used a storage facility before so I called around and the nicest people on the phone was compass self storage in Florence. I went there to check it out and kiara was so wonderful. She guided me through the paperwork took my deposit showed me the facility, they were so clean, so nice and very very secure. I ended up renting one of the bigger units and it was perfect. I had such a great experience that when we moved I rented a U-Haul from them and again Kiara was wonderful. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for safe, secure and clean storage or for renting a U-Haul.

I was greeted with open arms by Keara and Lindsay. Keara worked with me (and you could tell because she cared) to change all the billing details to my name. I moved here 3 years ago this past May from Virginia and am still learning my where abouts...Keara and Lindsay both helped me get back to where I live avoiding all the traffic we are experiencing on the highways. I would recommend Compass Self Storage to anyone. When I left I knew that I would be taken care of by Keara and Lindsay in the future.

It first starts with the staffs great attitude and very welcoming personalities. This is all part, in my opinion, cause a fantastic store manager. Wanda was absolutely awesome. She was very detailed and answered all my questions. I had a ton. Even questions about uhaul. She took her time to make sure my partner and I knew exactly what we were getting into and that we got the best price. The storage unit was clean and area in general well kept. She also took the time to imagine how our stuff would fit and how we should place it. Really A+++ on customer service.
