In regards to Republic Internet provider: Actual internet performance; adverage, tends to have many connection errors that can be annoying but with working equitment is only an annoyance. Costumer service: the worst possible. When I finally reach a person either the home office or tech support I am greeted with outrageously rude people that speak to me as if I have no skills with technology. I expect professional and polite people to assist and troubleshoot my internet issues. Instead I am spoken as if I have no tech experience and dose not know what restart means. For over a year we experiences countless outages and slow speeds. Finally we had a support member come out to look at our internet. There had been a part stolen from our equitment and needed replacing. As a result the cords were left unburried. We were assured this would be taken care of. Now it is the New Year and our cable sits exposed and ready for thief or tampering since the summer replacement. When calling about the status of the cord and when it would be buried I received an angry women yelling at me for having asked and loudly proclaimed the outside contract to bury the cord is beyond their control and "these things take a while." It has been over 6 months. All I want is to pay for a service that performs well, receive prompt service when it dose not and above all have EVERY employee connected with this corporation give me a Polite and Professional experience. Not just a few, all. So if you have a choice, do not pick this company for your internet needs.

Worst ISP ever. Weve had them for over a year now and constant problems. Inconsistent speeds, disconnects and customer service is nonexistent. We started out paying 70 a month and neglected to inform us that after a year the price would jump, now we pay 125 every month for crap. The modem/router the send you is old and only supports one band. You have to be in the living room to get any service. You never get anywhere close to the speed you pay for. Were lucky to get half of the 30. Were switching to ATT uverse, yeah were going down to 24Mb but at least its consistent. Everyone I talk to who has uverse says they never have problems and the speed is always consistent. I would strongly suggest not going with cable america.

CableAmerica is the only cable provider in Republic so weve had it for 4.5 years. But the cost has kept rising until it is now $160.97 per month for the service we have which is TV, internet and phone. Enough is enough! We switched to a satellite provider and got basically the same bundle for less than half the cost. But, silly me, I always pay my bills on time so I had sent CableAmerica a check for $160.97 on Oct. 20 and I switched services on Oct. 31. Would they refund my money for Nov.? Not a chance. I was told, "they stopped giving refunds a couple years ago". Nice company, huh?! Avoid them if at all possible, though they do have a monopoly on cable here which is probably why they can do whatever they want.

They are awful in Republic. They charged me after I had disconnected with them leaving me with collections I did not know about until I looked at my credit report months later. I had moved from a residence and returned the equipment. When I called them they claimed they hadnt charged me. I had to dispute the claim on my credit report. The service sucks and you cant count on it working when you need it too. Oh and they dont put their cable lines deep enough on the dirt. I was putting a garden in with my wife for a simple annual flower. I hit the line. Come to find out they put the line just under the grass. Cant wait Till I can get AT&T uverse so I can drop this losers.

This is the most piss poor excuse for a caple company you could get. Like using the internet past 9pm? Forget about it. Think paying for 10mbs actually means you get 10mbs!? Well you are in for a surprise! At most expect 8. And I actually have a fairly nice modem and the WRT3200 from linksy as a router. They are a joke, there is a reason they have a 2.2, and I assure you they would have a negative if it was an option. At this point I should be making a case with the better business bureau because I have been dealing with this for 5 YEARS! both in Clever and Republic you get the exact same garbage!

I do not have this cable provider, but their customer service and service technicians have extremely poor service. Cable America has a utility box in the yard next to me, which they have been working on recently. They have never informed me of this work and their servicemen have entered my yard to run lines on more than one occasion. Not only have they entered my backyars without permission, they left my gate wide open when they left, allowing my dog to escape. When I called the office about this, I was told a supervisor would contact me, which has never happened. Terrible service!

We switched to Cable from AT&T when we moved a stronesthrow across republic. So far all we have had is problems. The internet, randomly, and sometimes frequently disconnects. If only for 20 seconds. It makes gaming impossible, and weve tried everything to fix it. They put a new line in, we changed routers twice, we had a guy run a new coaxible through the house, still the same. Anyone else have issues with the internet randomly cutting for a small period? The internet light on the router turns off too.

I wish there was a rating below one star because thats what they would get. I cannot stress to all future potential customers out there enough do not use them! The only thing worse than their customer service is there incredibly unreliable Internet service. The only positive experience I had with them was dropping them.

Internet went out this afternoon so I called the local number for republic and in less than an hour they had the modem replaced and we were back up and running. Try that with at&t. Not only do they over charge you they refuse to make the bill right. With cable America we have never had a bad experience.

Have had the 30+meg line for over a year. Never had any problems or random disconnects. I use new wireless router and use many devices. Only had 2 disconnect issues due to very bad if not extreme weather. They also provide the only high speed Internet in town for a reasonable price.

The ABSOLUTE WORST INTERNET you could ever spend a dime on. 7 days a week it disconnects with no 24/7 customer support to talk to. This company is an absolute SCAM! Your 20X better paying up for a different Internet company, trust me! 100% truth!

Their internet service disconnects at least 2 to 3 times a week and for a long period of time. Dont count on your internet connection being reliable and being up 90% of the time. You WILL experience frequent disconnects guaranteed.
