GRADE F- || Get the BBB involved This company lies when they say theres no data cap! When my brother and I first signed up, we went with them because their sales department said there wasnt a data cap, and their speeds were quite decent. Then the tech comes to install everything and tells us that there is, in fact, a 100 gig cap (if you go with the fastest package available: 50mbps down/2 mbps up). When we later added cable tv, the cap dropped to just 50 gigs! My brother and I chew through that in two weeks with our web site building and streaming and video uploads. And their download speeds fail miserably. I know cable internet isnt reliable for the speeds you sign up for, but getting only 5 megs download out of 50 (on average) is ridiculous! The only plus is the upload, which is higher than advertised (at 2.36 mbps instead of 2).Then theres the bill. Holy %@$ are they expensive!!! Were practically getting double billed! Instead of getting charged the $89/mo + rental fees for the bundle we have, we just got hit for $151! Theyve charged us twice for the same HD receiver, and charged us $43.55 for something called Cable One Net 5.0 - whatever that is, and several other things. Oh! And they only give you 9 days to pay your bill! If they werent the ONLY ones to service this building, things would be SO much better!!! I desperately wish the landlords would bring in 702 Communications! PS> their cable tv sucks, too! It pixelates and distorts very frequently.

Their service was below standard once I ordered new boxes to upgrade. The tech who came screwed up my blu-ray system and it still hasnt worked. I called and cancelled everything immediately and switched to a competitor. Cable One then owed me almost $250.00. Money that they got from me originally right away. I was told that money would be arriving in 3 to 5 business days. This was the end of October. Then on the 9th of November I called back and was told the money will be processed on November 11th and the money would be on its way immediately. Its now the 25th of November, a check bounced for $26 and I have to pay $150 in charges, not including the fee for the company my check was written too, and now Im being told that it has to go through one more billing cycle! I did manage to get a supervisor and supposedly am getting the check processed manually now, first going through their Phoenix office then to my local office and it will be mailed next week.....You got your money when you initially needed it and early every month after that, Cable one! WHERES MINE????? Im out a blu-ray surround sound system & $130+ in charges & my initial account deposit! This is simply unacceptable! Not to forget to mention that channels I liked were being discontinued because of service agreements and what have you between the cable company and the stations......

this company is full of morons. We apparently had not returned our cable box.. (which i know i did) this was 2 years before this problem. We got internet when we moved back and everything was going ok for as good as it can be with them. (i ran a speed test i get half the bandwidth i pay for but yaa.. i cant watch netflix and play an online game at the same time... wth) Suddenly one day my cable doesnt work i call them after fiddling around and deciding it wasnt the hardware. they said they came by and DISCONNECTED my service. i asked why? they said i had not returned my cable box. i said since when? they said the social security number matched up and they sent letters to inform me of this to MY OLD ADDRESS! really you idiots. i obviously dont live there wouldnt you send it to the address that is currently getting service?? horseshit! then to top it off they over charged us and refunded to our account 100 dollars. They said though that they cant use that 100 dollars on my account to pay for this supposed missing box. i had to come in and pay more money because that refunded money doesnt work that way.. my god i wish there was a better company up here that went to my building.

Umm so we have had to deal with this terrible joke of a what they call "service" for over a year now. Because they are the only provider in our area. As of recently I dropped my cable service from them because they jacked our prices up over 60 dollars because our "promotion" ended even though we got an increase 9 months ago because our promotion ended. They dropped multiple main channels in that time frame including channels like comedy central. Yet prices increase? Not to mention when I asked about if we could just drop the promoted channel the amount was only going to drop 15 dollars? That doesnt add up? About their internet well...Ive been home today and service has been down for over 8 hours. Still cant get an answer on whats going on or an eta on when its gonna be fixed. Oh and dont let them trick you into believing they have unlimited data. because it was advertised when I signed up but was secretly implemented without notice apparently within the last few months. And they will force you to upgrade your service if you ever go over. All in all I wish I could give negitve stars.

Had their service for years because what other option did I have? Midco just moved into my area and I tried to make the switch, calling Cable ones customer service? Impossible! I got hung up on twice, when I got through I did manage to get my service canceled however they didnt send a tech out to physically disconnect my line. So, when Midco came out they couldnt hook up because the line is in a cable one lock box. Cable one says they dont do that and that a special circumstances service call has to made, for which theyll probably charge up the ass for, and Ill have no idea of when its done. I just have to guess. Oh, and to be able to speak to a CSR, I had to navigate their crappy auto answering through which I pressed the appropriate buttons to say that I wanted to get their service. Press the buttons to disconnect, and be put on hold for an hour. Pretend Im interested in them, immediate help. The technicians are nice and helpful though. Just dealt with a guy that was great. One thing that I do like; When I Google Cable One, Mid continent is the first result! Take that!

I provide technical support for a number of companies in the Fargo/Moorhead area. I have recently been fighting Cable One on behalf of a business that requires a static IP address. For two weeks, following maintenance that required a new IP scheme, Cable One has been unable to successfully provision a Static IP address for this customer. Our multiple support sessions have amounted to Cable One either not entering the correct MAC address when binding the customers router, implying that the three separate, new routers we have supplied (for Cable Ones troubleshooting purposes) are non-functioning (despite their functioning on DHCP without issue), and simply stating that I am repeatedly failing to type a static IP correctly. In order for this customer to report sales and inventory accurately, a static IP address is required by their hardware vendor. This customer has suffered unnecessarily due to this service providers abject incompetence, and has had no choice but to pursue a new provider. I cannot recommend this service provider to anyone.
