Ok, we have had Time Warner for over 8 years now. When it works it works well, but if you have any problems their support is very useless. I am a Network Tech, I understand how a cable modem and telephone service works and how the signals are sent/received. My cable modem has VOIP built in, over the last few months it would drop a call at random. I contacted the "Support" and let them know the modem is failing and explained in technical details what the diagnostic codes told me. At this point I was told to reset the modem and it would work fine. I explained I already had determined that there is a hardware issue, can I get a replacement modem. They then determined I needed a service call to fix the issue. Ok, fine send a tech, when should I expect him? 3 days... Ok fine I can deal with crappy internet and no phone for a few days... Tech arrives and disconnects my entire cable service and leaves. Doesnt inform me of any details. I call TWC back and ask what the problem was and when my internet/cable/telephone would be fixed. They said it was my fault the line is damaged and would need to be re-ran to my home. That would be $300 to have it repaired. As a tech I then took my own ladder climbed the pole and inspected the line no visible damage as claimed, so I ran a voltage test on the line for loss and signal quality both were perfect. Re-called and gave them this information, was told I can be jailed for tampering with cable services - a lie since repairing and testing a line is not tampering. They send out 2 more technicians both were morons, and I was getting frustrated with the lack of information. Finally tech says no outside problems, can we check your modem now? At this point I was ready to fall over because the guy seemed to understand the modem needed to be checked now. Tech came in said hmmm no output on the telephone side of the modem - it needs replacement. Guess what - he didnt have a replacement on his truck. Tells me he will be out in the morning with replacement. Sat at home all day with no internet, telephone, or cable tech no showed called timewarner back said tech tried to call me to verify I was home... Replied I have no phone since box is bad so how can he call... Wait until monday and he will come out and replace so took a 3rd day off of work to sit and wait. He comes out and the damn modem was defective - the one he brought to replace the current one. I made him hook my cable up before he left to bring a working box to me. I can understand problems but not stupidity. Geez TWC if FIOS was near me I would be gone in seconds!

I have tried to call in to the main line to cancel my service 4 times and have been hung up on after waiting almost 30 minutes each time. Theres always a "transfer to retention" then holding then nothing. I dont want to be retained. Ive been trying to get out of this plan for a while. I go online to do the chat. They cant cancel my service and are full of drop down empty fake empathetic automated responses. I was told I was going to get a call back because they couldnt perform cancellations through chat. No one ever called, of course. Im sick of this provider and the absolute lack of attention they provide their customers. Ive been promised several "rate cuts" which I had to call back in and hear "I dont know who you talked to, but thats not possible." Ive stopped paying their ridiculous bill because Ive been promised everything under the sun to stay, and like a sucker, I believe them. This company is garbage country wide yet I keep giving them another shot. Im done...If I can ever get a real live person to help me.

Ive been with Time Warner for years and have always had issues. I would have left a long time ago but never had an options available to be able to do so. They constantly raised my bills, when I called to reduce, they reduce temporarily and when I Threatened to leave is when they seemed to care. I called 2 weeks ago asking again why my bill increased $30 from one month to the next. they told me they couldnt do anything. They told me that switching me to spectrum would only increase my bill so I decided to look elsewhere. A day later, I get a door hanger from Grande so I called to initiate an account. I called spectrum to cancel my account and they try and talk me into staying and I told them that Ive already been through this and was told you dont do bundles anymore to lower my bill and this guy told me that was a mistake that they could in fact lower my bill back to my original amount. I told him that I was done with this company and refused his offer. I dont recommend this company to anyone

Was trying to get a box because our apartment complex provides cable for free. Made an appointment three different times to get a technician to come do the installation. They messed up the time and date all three times. On the last time the technician was actually at the apartment complex and said "nobody answered the door" when we were home all day. Finally, just went to spectrum to get the box myself and the front desk associate was absolute clueless. Also, their customer service department is completely dysfunctional. I received multiple phone calls from them, most of which was an automated system that doesnt work, and when you finally talk to a representative they barley help. Completely unprofessional. 0 out of 10 would recommend.

So, when I initially call Time Warner, they tell me that my area hasnt had service before so they need to send a tech out to see if Im serviceable. I asked how long that would take and the rep told me 24-48 hours. And that if Im serviceable, I should have internet shortly after. The tech came and said we were serviceable. So Im like, okay, awesome. Then they set another appointment for another tech to come and connect the Internet. Its been almost two weeks since the initial conversation. So when the tech came, he knocks on my door and says "We cant connect the Internet because the area is not serviceable." -__- Two weeks of no internet for no results. TIME WARNER SUCKS.

The store hours currently claim they close at 9pm. I arrived at 6:10pm and found they were closed. Heres their actual hours. Mon-Fri: 8AM - 6PM Sat: 10AM - 2PM Sun: CLOSED Being a business that sells internet, youd expect TWC would keep the internet up to date. Because they dont, I tried an online chat representative who was able to help. So this store gets 1 star for having good service when they are open and TWC gets 1 star for working chat support. Then one final star for having competent service-men (in my experience) and were up to three stars. So this was passable service from TWC... and as Google puts it, 3 stars = "Its okay."

Time Warner is not only very overpriced, but their customer service leaves very much to be desired. If you have any issues, they will not send anyone out to fix the problem right away but schedule a service tech to come out a week later. I will never, ever use Time Warner or refer anyone to use them in the future. My experience with them was very frustrating, and their lack of care or interest in getting issues resolved in a timely manner is disgusting. Especially when they demand payment in advance for a service they arent providing. Time Warner, you suck!
