We all know how unpredictable and frustrating auto repairs can be. Nonetheless, at times, they can surprise us when our bank account least expects it. But...I would like you advise you that you have an excellent business on your side in more ways than one. Not only is Kettering Oakwood Automotive efficient and extremely friendly, they have a trained and well certified mechanic, that has over 20 years of expeeience on his " resume " that owns the shop. Hes " been there and done that". I strongly suggest that if you, like me, are in doubt of any automotive knowledge, or you are seeking an automotive repair shop to take care of a variety of your automotive needs, I highly suggest that you contact Terry Toner, owner of Kettering Oakwood Automotive. I promise you, that from the minute you call and schedule an appointment with Terry and his Team, you will immediately sense his compassion and professionalism. His professionalism and caring nature doesnt even stop with his customers, but he goes above and beyond for his employees as well. How do I know? Because I paid attention to how he spoke to his employees with care, and they spoke and responder back with the same respect and kindness, as did Terry. I strongly recommend that YOU let Terry Toner and his Team, at Kettering Oakwood Automotive take the worry and unwanted stress off your chest AND your wallet. I wanted to ensure that our car was up to speed and in the best safest condition for our son, who has " inherited " our previous, 16 year old family car, that hadnt been driven in some time. Terry made sure everything that needed to be done was completed, and he didnt try to intice me into spending anymore money than necessary. I value Terry Toners ( owner ) opinions, integrity, honesty, and graciousness. I can tell that he truly values each customer and cares that they are driving a safe vehicle upon leaving his shop. What a superb job! Hats off to Terry and his Team for their knowledge, prompt attention to detail, willingness to go the extea mile, and the genuine concern, THEY ALL contributed, to ensure MY SON would be safe once he started to drive. I dont ever leave reviews, but the guy who owns this shop, Terry, is amazing. Legit blew me away. You can call the shop anytime and youll get the most sincere, kindest, jolly fellow this side of Kettering has seen. I had a thermostat issue with my car, terry says itll be a couple hours. Cool with me. I brought a book along to read. As im waiting in the lobby he asks if id like a loaner car to drive home so I didnt have to wait... no typo, he literally offered me a loaner car to drive home so I didnt have to wait. Speechless. After agreeing to the price he goes ahead and has his mechanic, Nate, fix it (also super cool dude, hey nate, youre the man bro). While im waiting, he brings out the part that was damaged and shows me everything wrong with it. I sat in this mans shop for a couple hours waiting for my car. Things I noticed: 1. He treats all of his employees kindly. Nate and hop (I think?), these guys joke with him, they all smile at each other. They looked happy to be there. 2. Whether it was an old customer, new customer or a guy selling tool parts from a company—terry greeted them like hes known them his whole life. 3. A woman came in asking if Terry knew anyone selling any cars. She didnt even come to get a car fixed. She just trusted his judgement. He couldve easily pointed out the car that was for sale in his lot. He didnt. He gets up and walks her to it explaining everything about it. He then gives me a discount on my bill, gives me his card and sends me on my way. Listen. THIS is how every shop should be. I shouldnt have to worry about being scammed or being spoken to rudely OR talked down upon. If you care for people and treat them well, they will do the same. This is how we humans should interact with each other. Everyone can learn something from Terry Toner aka the friendliest business owner in Kettering/Oakwood.

I cannot speak highly enough about the quality of service and the friendliness of the owner and the mechanics. After going to two prior shops in an attempt to have my car fixed, I was informed of Kettering-Oakwood Automotive. After having this shop look at my car, they found that the problem with my car was a simple solution in which the two other shops (Midas and Pep Boys) failed to discover. After spending over $700 at the two prior shops and my car still having problems, Kettering-Oakwood Automotive was able to properly diagnose the problem with my car and made the proper repairs quickly and at a price that was more fair and reasonable than the other two companies. Terry, whom is the owner, and his mechanics at Kettering-Oakwood Automotive treated me like family. After telling Terry that I had moved to Dayton from California and did not know anyone in the area, he was more than accommodating to my schedule and need of transportation to and from work. Terry was more than happy to keep the shop open until I could get there from work and even helped me with a loaner car from the shop, so I wouldnt have to be stranded and have to take the day off. Terry and the mechanics at Kettering-Oakwood Automotive are professional, friendly, courteous, helpful and offer fair and competitive prices for their services. While going to a mechanic is not always cheap, Terrys prices are firm and fair and the quality of the work done is beyond reproach. Any future problems that I may have with my car, I will not hesitate to come back to this shop.

When I moved to Oakwood in 2011, finding a trustworthy reliable mechanic was a concern for me as a single mom with two cars for myself and my children. Upon a recommendation, I went to Kettering Oakwood Automotive and I have never considered going anywhere else since. My experience with them has taught me that I do not have to worry that I am being taken advantage of or told that I needed something done that I did not. The pricing is reasonable and they even completed something for me once at no charge. Last year when I was shopping for a used car for my daughter, I took it down to Kettering Oakwood Automotive to check it over for me. The dealership I was dealing with handed me a "certification" of what their mechanics found and repaired on the car, but I still wanted someone I could trust to look over it. Terry did so at no charge and gave me a list of what they found, which I returned to the dealership with. The Dealership became quite defensive and tried to tell me that my mechanic just wanted to make money, however they agreed to look at the list and again look at the car. Well guess who was right? Kettering Oakwood Automotive! Their staff is always helpful and courteous. They even came to my home to jump my car for me once and have offered a ride home when I needed to leave a car there.
