I contacted them 1 too many times about slow speeds and high prices and they didnt like it. The General Manager Joel Large took action harassing me via voicemail and email and terminated my account without warning. Warning: Dont use your connection to download anything large (Steam library?) or have any ports open to remotely manage your router or its possible you will get an immediate disconnect/cancellation with no warning. Their Acceptable Use terms are vague and at the hint of having a port open, they will claim you are running a web server and cut you off at strike 1. Actually, if they want you gone youll just be gone with whatever reason they concoct at the time. Honestly. Happy to not have to give them $65/mo for speeds that are a fraction of what classifies as "broadband" Sign up for ATTs WHPI250 or WHPI500 to get an LTE hot spot with significantly more bandwidth and reliability. North Coast Wireless covers GLWs entire footprint and will offer higher speeds, and much better customer support for similar prices. Get an ATT mobely for $20/mo unlimited or $255/yr with Sprints nonprofit data plan (Google it). NetX and Agile Networks provide gigabit speeds over wireless. There are alternatives, they just arent traditional. Cant wait until LTE-LAA or LTE-U put these guys out of business. That or they will be bought by Spectrum soon enough.

This company was apparently founded by thieves. Their speeds are dreadfully slow and I garuentee you will NOT get the max of the advertised speed, but the internet goes down CONSTANTLY. Literally every night between 9pm-1am the Internet is either at a crawling speed where Google takes 5 minutes to load or the Internet is off. In fact my internet is off right now. Modem blinking on "receiving" which means Im receiving NO data from them. LI used their websites "speed" tester the other day, my results were 182kbps. You tell me, does 182kbps sound like it should cost $60? Youre better off paying for unlimited cell data and getting a hotspot plan. It will be faster and MUCH more reliable than this thieving company. Ive tried to call and ask what is happening. Every time is "I dont see any problems on our end. SHOCKING. Ive had friends try to solve why my internet is so slow, the ONLY reason they can find is the ISP is incompetent thieves. Dont live in grafton if you like having reliable internet. The grafton area needs another ISP so GLWB can stop stealing from their customers. Ill end this review with a simple statement: a tin can string phone is more reliable than GLWB.

An ISP that hasnt had anything updated since it was first built. Sharing "fiber" lines, as their websites downtimes have stated, with another ISP, Frontier, and giving ridiculously slow speeds. Speeds that cap out at 8Mbps since their "Turbo" package is only ever available to be purchased one week out of the year without notice to anyone when that will be. Periodic times where the speeds are throttled to hell and from times around 1200am-5am where speeds crawl no matter or who is using the internet. A monopolistic ISP that shares lines with another ISP, Frontier, and both provide horrendous speeds, service, and about half of the promised speeds. We pay about $120 per month for cable and internet. Of the 8Mbps, we only get about 4-4.5 Mbps of the promised 8. The instant another ISP thats land based comes around, switch. At least then youll be able to choose who bends you over a table instead of a monopoly that wont update to something from even last decade to keep up with current speeds and requirements. Their other name, Grafton Cable Communications, has only one review at the time of this posting.

"Third world Internet at first world prices, GLW broadband!" That about sums this place up... Incompetent staff, more interested in gossiping and looking indignant for having a customer interrupt said gossip. Advertised speeds are in no way indicative of the slow crawl you will experience during the brief periods the service is working. Most streaming media is throttled, as well as any type of software / game retailer (steam, origin). All in all a shining example of how not to run a successful ISP. 2016 Update. Nothing has changed. This place really needs to be bulldozed under to make room for something more useful, like a landfill! They have neither the competency nor the infrastructure to run an ISP, but they will gladly take your money. Avoid like the plague!

Have had GLW for a little over a year now. VERY VERY slow Internet speeds. Quick responding customer service however they say everything is good and speeds on their side seem decent..... I cant get 3 minutes into a movie on amazon prime before it starts buffering. Have cleared the cache and reset the modem/router to no avail. Horrible speeds and @ $60/month and control of the market in this area(besides Windstream) you would think they would be able to keep a reliable and at least decent connection. Honestly, my T-MOBILE Hotspot has over twice the download and 1.5xs the upload speed. Which is sad seeing as its a mobile network not a land connection. Dont get GLW!!! Im switching to Windstream tomorrow.

THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE! Unfortunately this is my only option for internet service and wifi. (Which I find odd because spectrum is like two streets over) but they have completely awful internet service. The top package I can get is 6mbps. They make you use their old modem equipment which doesnt help, but Im lucky to pull 2mbps!!! I pay over $30 a month for that!! Unreal. I cant stream HD video. Downloads take literally days. Spectrum offers 60mbps for around the same price! This company is still living in 2000 as far is technolgy goes. Internet goes out as well. I have absolute hate towards this mediocre company for the high prices they charge and its my only choice in service. (Monopoly) hmmm

Internet speed was horribly slow. For $54 a month, I was getting about 1.5 - 2 Mbps download speed. This made the internet just about useless for just about anything but basic web browsing. I recently switched to Verizons Home LTE Internet and wish they had created this service earlier. I get around 40Mbps down until I use my 22GB of data, then I am slowed down to about 30 Mbps. Completely blows away GLW and we finally have a viable internet service provider out here!!! Cancelling my service today and wishing I could get a refund for all the money I wasted with them.

New with this company. Have had nothing but problems. Things still arent fixed after several calls & service visits. Cable stops working, On Demand doesnt work, Wifi is insufficient. They say everything looks fine on their end but yet cable still doesnt work properly! Their remedy was for me to purchase several routers to fix internet speed! No customer support after 5pm so if you have an issue at night your SOL until morning or Monday if its a Wknd. Not sure how they stay in business. Definitely will be shopping for new service
