I give 1 star because you cant give a half. My HOA had an agreement with Brighthouse that is now being eliminated and we are on our own to choose a new company. I called Spectrum since they were the ones taking over Brighthouse and figured I would get the same level of service, which was not the case. I have called 4 times in the last month only to be told they couldnt offer me a new package until my current one ended at the end of this month. I finally got a rep today to help me and the pricing he came back with was ridiculous. It was double the price i was paying with Brighthouse. But the worse part was the song and dance I had to go through to get them to give me a better deal. They had me on the phone for over 30 minutes and kept putting me on hold and coming back with a deal that was a few dollars lower then the one prior. Why do you treat a perspective customer like this? Horrible - why not just tell them the best rate they can get from the beginning? Why the whole show that "you are checking to see if there is a better deal"? In the end I told them just to sign me up for internet; i wouldnt even have given them that business but I need it for work. I will not be keeping it and will continue to look for a company that wants "new business" and doesnt treat people like their idiots.

My negative review is geared mostly toward Brighthouse in general. I moved from St Pete to Brandon and instructed them to transfer my service. Instead they opened a new account and costs me $600 of unused service that I didnt catch soon enough on my bank statements in the old house that was not even occupied. When I called they did nothing to rectify the situation despite being a customer for 14 years. I would have been happy with a 1 month credit. I decided I didnt want their services but I did need internet since it is a modern day age. They are the only internet provider for my area. My internet crashes daily and is unavailable sometimes for hours. I get errors the signal is weak or absent. I called their service number and got a busy line all week because they do not staff adequately. So I went in person, loading my infant in the car and drove all the way to file a service request. That was today and by no surprise no one showed up. In a nutshell this is the worst service I have experienced in my lifetime. The management at Brighthouse needs to wake up and change their ways. I feel bad for employees who work at such a broken company. If you have other options, do yourself a favor and dont do Brighthouse. Theres nothing bright about them.

I am seriously shocked at the bad reviews. I have had Bright House for over 2 years now and have had nothing but great customer service and my Cable/Internet service is pretty darn good. I have Lightening and the speed is great. I submit all of my school work online, and I also have children who play a Xbox 360 and a Kindle Fire. We are all able to get on at the same time with no issues at all. Still as fast as it is when only one person is using it. Im currently in college for CIT and honestly no ISP is ever 100% problem free. If your expectation is perfection you will never be satisfied. I had Verizon Fios prior to Bright House and they were extremely pricey, and my Internet went down just as much with them as it has with Bright House, (which has only been occasionally). It has never went out because of rain, but sure, that can happen with any ISP I suppose. Every single person I have talked to at the company regarding billing, service, etc. has been nothing short of respectful, helpful, and personable. I think Bright House provides great service and offers great pricing. They have a satisfied customer over here at our house.

I have only been with them for 3 months and they are awful. I had my service disconnected because I was literally nonexistent to them. They dont have my name on file, nor my phone number, nor an account number for me. They have my address under a different name so when I called to resolve my disconnection, they had to look it up by my drivers license number. They then proceeded to tell me that my bill was past due and unfortunately when they do reconnect my service I dont qualify for the promotional price anymore because I violated my Terms and Conditions. They made it seem like it was all of my fault. I talked to several supervisors and they are all useless. This company is nothing but a bureautic monopoly in the Clearwater area. They do not provide the best of service because they know that they have no competition in the area.

Techs dont show for appointments, outright lie to close a ticket because they dont show, reschedule appointments without talking to consumers, then customer service lies about being first appt. for the rescheduled appt. Do they understand that customers have jobs and have to take time off of work for these appointments where they dont show? Chronic problem with this company! All telecommunications companies - so why are there not laws to protect consumers and make these companies pay for a customers time when they dont show for appts? Tech left phone box open with wires sticking out, left hole in my wall! Still waiting for number to port..... NOT a good way to start out with a customer! Furthermore, customer service and techs should NOT be allowed to change appoinment times when they dont show and never talk to the customer!

Negative 6 is more like the satisfaction level.. Customer service is a joke.. Their service sux.. Every other month the price goes up.. They add taxes and fees. Every person you talk to says something different.. Basically, they are liars, and thieves..In a matter of 6 months I had probably 15 to 20 cable guys at my house..Every one said it was something different.. They would come install a booster, then the next guy would remove it.. The next guy would insist it was in need of a booster.. Even after they sent two supervisors out, they still couldnt figure out the problem..Now that they were bought out, my bill goes up 20 dollars.. They can kiss my ass, with their tongue out.. DO NOT GET BRIGHT HOUSE.. APPARENTLY THE NEW COMPANY, ALSO WANTS TO SCREW ITS CUSTOMERS...

I hate Bright House and Ill never have them again. As a small business, I have had phone issues for the past 9 day. IT IS STILL NOT RESOLVED!!!!! I have called everyday, the tech has been out here 3 times and can not figure out the problem. Ive been told its been escalated to management but no one has bothered to call me. If this issue is not resolved today, I will have lost over $300. This is my only source of income. How am I suppose to pay my bills with this type of service?????? I always thought Comcast was bad but Bright House makes Comcast look great. Obviously no one looks at these reviews because almost everyone hates this company and has done nothing to improve peoples issues.
