Warning If you like to take good care of your car do not go to this place. I went to this place to get a state inspection for my truck with (99,035 MILES). THE GUY DROVE IT TO THE BACK OF THE SHOP TO DO THE INSPECTION, when he came back he told me that my engine, brake and abs lights were on. My truck never had any engine, abs or brake lights on. I told him how was that even possible because when I drove it to there it wasnt like that. He said "I dont know it has the lights on now". I went to my truck to see what was happening and find one of the plugs at the bottom of the dash by the pedals hanging almost touching the brake pedal. I crank the engine and yes the lights were on. Went up to the guy and asked him why was that cable hanging if that cable cant get unpluged by itself. (To unplug that cable you need a screw driver to pull two pins off one on each side of the cable) he said "nobody touched the truck, if you wanted fixed you can leave it here but you are gonna have to pay. WHY WOULD YOU TAKE A TRUCK TO THE BACK OF THE SHOP IF THE DASH LOOKS LIKE A CHRISTMAS TREE WITH ALL THOSE LIGHTS ON. He didnt had an answer and refused to put that plug where it was. I have experience with cars and I fix my own. I know all my cars are in good condition. I went back to my house plug the wire back and boooom no engine, brake or abs lights where on. Went to get it inspected at a different location with no problems at all. Never going back to this place. Do yourself a favor and dont go to this place.

My husband and I took our vehicle to City Garage with what appeared to be a starter issue. Just taking the car there was a bit of an issue that morning due to having to rearrange appointments for that day, although necessary. We chose City Garage from the BBB for its good rating. My husband received a call shortly after leaving the vehicle and we were told the battery was bad and would not hold a charge and that was the problem. We were shocked by that news since the battery was not even a year old and had no signs of corrosion. But, they are the professionals, not us, so we went and picked up the vehicle and replaced the battery only to find out it was NOT the battery after all. So after the cost of replacing a new battery with another new battery and the wasted time, we now still have a car with a starter problem. We wont be taking it back to City Garage because now we cannot trust their diagnosis.

City Garage is your typical car maintenance facility out to gouge you out of all your money. They definitely know how to change your oil, hence all of the good reviews so far. My rating comes from their outright refusal to listen to their customer. My car has a check engine light on that is caused by an EGR valve misfire and vacuum line leak. We go to City Garage on Cooper Street and explain we have this problem, can you fix it..."we have to do a diagnostic" (which consists of everything i have done to my car for free) and so we give them the chance, they "clean the EGR ports" and reset the light. a day later it comes back on and we are back at City Garage on Cooper Street. He tells us he has to run another Diagnostic because its a different problem. If you are going to steel my money, at least be more sly about it. Theres only ONE other thing it could be!

I brought my car up to Cities garage and was provided a price for parts and labour. I signed the aggrement for the price that priceI receive a call 1 hour later stating that the price was incorrect. After the discussion was had on what had occurred at no time was I informed on the correction or what direction city garage was going to take. I come back to the city garage after the call was over and I talked to the store manager in which he made NO ATTEMPT TO CORRECT THE ISSUE THAT WAS MADE BY THEM. WHEN I ASKED ABOUT THE PRICE DURING THAT CONVERSATION HE INFORMED THE THE COST WAS AN ADDITIONAL $200.00 DOLLARS. Just sad city garage was one place I thought I would not have any issue. I will not give them my business going forward.

I took my just purchased used 2002 Ford Windstar to their garage because the steering was making some terrible noise. Apart from discovering that the transmission fluid was almost empty, they did a very good job on the engine and air-conditioning system. The cost was very high but the Writer gave me a deal after I told him I could not afford that much. He did not want me to go to another service outlet. I was very pleased with the deal and extremely impressed with the services provided me. It was a win-win situation.Before I forget, they gave me a ride home after I dropped my Van with them and they picked me up at home to their garage to collect my vehicle. Awesome service.

Horrible customer service!!!! Brought my car in for state inspection, it didnt pass, so I got a rental car while they figured out what was wrong with it. They said theyd contact me and tell me which of the 3 possible errors was causing the check engine light. They kept my car overnight without contacting me even once. I called them the next morning. Trying to return the car was an added nightmare since City Garage said theyd send a driver to pick me up from the car rental place, but City Garage is too busy to check their voicemail or answer their phone, so Id literally be waiting on them to pick me up for a few days!!!!!

They are fast, friendly, efficient, and honest. Yesterday, I had my back brakes done. The front brake pads were still at 60%, so I could wait on those. After they fixed the back and took the truck for a test drive, they found I needed a bearing done too. I called around for quotes, and City Garage was the best around, so I went back today and had those done. When I picked up the truck, the guy says, "I have a story for you." I cringed. He goes, "No. Its a good story." Long story short, they ended up able to do the bearing AND my front brakes for the same price as they quoted me for the bearing. Now Im all set!

The prices here so are crazy high. My friend brought her vehicle here just because it was the closest shop and she was scared to drive her car. We found out that another shop would have done it cheaper and probably faster. The manager said it would take hours when we called to cancel to take it to a mechanic we are more comfortable with he claimed he already had it open and then told me when we went to get an itemized price list that it wasnt even open wth. After she gets her vehicle back we wont be back ! Dont go here ! Youll get over charged !

I just moved here and so I need my vehicles inspected. I found City Garage and decided to let them take care of my vehicles. Well Ed who runs the place treated me as if I was family. They did such a great job I allowed them to inspect both of my vehicles and plan on using them tomorrow to inspect my truck as well. Ed kept me in the loop on the entire process and DC his tech was equally professional and courteous. I would recommend this shop to any and everyone who needs a repair or state inspection.
