CAUTION!! DO NOT SIGN UP FOR TIME WARNER!! Let me start by saying I am never compelled to write a negative review, but the level of complete incompetence I have endured from Time Warner has left me no choice. Take heed. If you chose to ignore this review, you will regret it. I signed up for Time Warner internet service 7 months ago because they were the exclusive internet providers in the area.(Vote to deregulate media providers) It took 2 weeks of calling and troubleshooting to get the sevice to work about 75% of the time. I signed up for 36+ Mbps for $65 a month and rarely did I see speeds remotely close to 25Mbps. Many times their modem/router would drop service all together. Two weeks ago my wife and I moved to a new house. Unfortunately, Time Warner is also the only intetnet provider in this area with high enough speeds to accommodate our service requirements. I connected my equipment at the new location and called Time Warner to have the service connected. I reached a call center in California and spoke to a rep who kept trying to cram other Time Warner services down my throat. He made no attempt to concern himself with getting my existing service turned on. After 10 minutes of turning down numerous solicitations, he finally told me that I needed to drive to a Tine Warner office located 20 minutes away, and they would have the service turned on immediately. I drove in rush hour to the office in Grapevine only to be told that I had made the drive unnecessarily. The saleswoman behind the counter said the rep in California could have scheduled the service the entire time. She then told me it would be a week before a technician could come out to turn on my service. This took me by surprise because just as I had left my house on this unnecessary field trip, there were not 1, but 2 Time Warner vans parked 7 doors down from my house. Fast forward one week to my install scheduled at 8 am this morning and the tecnician informs me he cant install because my Satellite company has used the coaxial cable oulet he needs to set up service. I told him that I would pay to have a second cable run into the house. He informed me that the owner if the house has to have a signed letter stating they agree to have the cable run. Why? Are they not insured in case they damage the property during install? I ask the installation technician if he has a specific form or if their are any specific requirements for the written authorization letter. He informs me that there are not. Terrific. I call my landlord who is a very sweet 70 year old retired school teacher. She lives a 2 hour round trip drive from me, but she agrees to the installation. While driving to get this letter, my wife reschedules the installation for 3pm today. A new Time Warner technician shows up at 4pm and asks to see the written authorization from my landlord. I hand him the letter and he informs me that the letter needs to be on Corporate Letterhead. WTF???? I explain to him that my landlord doesnt own a corporation. She lives in a retirement community and rents the house she lived in for 38 years. Thats it. He tells me that isnt good enough. I ask him to contact his supervisor to explain the issue. He comes back a few minutes later and plainly states he wont be installing my internet. I plainly tell him to get all the Time Warner equipment out of my house. He then refuses to take the equipment with him, and tells me I have to drive all the equipment back to the Time Warner office located 20 minutes away. "F U" Time Warner!

My husband and I are heavy into playing Video Games online (such as Destiny, Halo, etc) and watching Netflix, but however, weve had three technicians come out for the same issue and each time, the issue will stop for a little while then resume again. The Issue is that my internet cuts out and wont stay on, even when its just being on cell phones only for WiFi. Heres the funny thing: I havent been playing that much on games - in fact - I havent played for an entire month and now, it still does the same thing. Its really pathetic how Im paying roughly around $60.00 and get crappy internet for my money. I am calling up there this coming week on Monday, and will be asking why and how I should stay a customer with their company when all the issues I keep having are Time Warner connection issues, not Destiny servers like theyve been informing me. It is a damn lie - Fix the issue, or you lose a customer plus my money. If you are looking for internet, stay away from Time Warner and find another internet provider! This place will swallow your money and not fix it correctly. I cannot tell you HOW many times I was kicked out of the connection... something needs to be done, and it needs to be done now.

Pure garbage internet service provider. I pay for 100 meg service. Do I EVER receive 100 meg connection? NOPE! I wish I could upload a photo. On numerous occasions, I have clocked my speeds to be lower than 1 meg. HOW CAN THIS EVEN BE POSSIBLE WHEN YOU PAY FOR 100 MEG SERVICE!?!?!? I live in a small apartment with no more than 2-3 devices connected, ever. Usually only 1 running at any given time. This is not a once every now and again happening. This is a daily occurrence. When you call customer service, they tell you to power down, power up--Im a mf millennial--you dont think I tried that already? When it doesnt solve the problem, they tell you theres a network issue. Garbage company. Complete garbage. I am honestly willing onto break my apartment lease to move to a residence that has a consistent internet connection. I used to have Uverse 12 meg and I NEVER had a problem. How can I possibly be paying for more than 8x the bandwidth but it be mostly unusable. HIGHLY UNSATISFIED!

Borderline a monopoly; I found that I was not using the cable service and called to cancel just the cable and retain the Internet. Speaking to the individual regarding the cancelation he indicated that it was only $10 dollar more to keep the cable ($79.99 just for 100 Mbps). I was almost sold just to keep the cable, but decided to check the Internet for the price for 100 Mbps while on the phone. I found the cost was $49.99 and questioned the rep. He indicated on his system $79.99 was the best offer he had available. I have no other option other than Time Warner and they are charging an excessive cost due to my cable cancellation which is tantamount to extortion. If you are capable of not going to Time Warner youd be wise not to. I personally will wait about a week to pursue the normal cost for 100 Mbps and if unsuccessful I will be looking into legal action which personally I feel fits a class action suit.

If I could give negative stars to this awful company, I would. I have been trying to get them to install Internet for three weeks now, and after hours upon hours on the phone with the idiots who work there, I finally was able to get a scheduled appointment with them to install. I scheduled my entire day around it, and when I got there 30 minutes before the appointment that was supposed to be from 11-12, they were a no show. I called the company to check and see what was going on, only to find out that the lazy technician they sent came early (before 10:30), knocked, and left BEFORE the scheduled appointment time of 11-12. I am unbelievably disappointed in this service. This is, by far, the worst service provider I have ever dealt with. DO NOT USE.
