Absolute scam mechanic. I brought my car to him because I didnt have time to diagnose and fix the problem myself. He wanted to charge $50 AFTER the fact just to diagnose something that required less than 5 minutes (he claimed 30), no lift, and nothing more than a screwdriver. In fact, Its done entirely while sitting in the back seat. An example of his predatory exaggeration is, when going over what went into the diagnostic cost, he claimed he had to "remove the back seat" while listing things he did. The back seat flips down, which takes 5 second and can be done by a small child. He never actually removed the seat from the vehicle, its not at all required for this repair. Full repair was quoted for $170. I refused. So I did the job myself. It cost me $17 and took two screwdrivers and a mallet, and I did it on the side of the road in about 20 minutes total. Im a law student, not a mechanic, and this job was incredibly fast and easy for me, taking a fraction of the time and effort this guy quoted. This guy preys on people not knowing any better. I told him I needed it fixed quickly (I didnt), and he either inflated the cost accordingly or hes simply incompetent. Dont take any vehicle here, ever. You will get scammed.

I dont usually write reviews, nor do I rely on them when choosing a business to frequent; however, I have been so pleased with the way Bothell Import Service has done business, I thought I should pass on the good news. My experience with these guys was more than pleasant. They were very honest and did business very well. They work hard and stand behind their work even when it turns out to not be cost effective for them. They do a great job of communicating what they did and the value of their work so I walked away feeling as though my money was well spent. I think this is really important in this line of work since most people can’t really see the work that has been done. Thanks Bothell Import Service for the great auto experience. Barb Jackson

These guys are the best mechanics I have ever dealt with. Being a woman, they never treated me any different like other places have done in the past. Its a small shop with a family feeling. They are very professional, they explained the problems in normal terms even I could understand. They are not in the business of ripping people off, they work to find the best fix for the most affordable prices. They have a new Mechanic that knows everything about Toyota specialized in Honda and Toyotas David , your honestly and excellent work, has earned Bothell Import Specialysts a forever customer!

Took in old Honda because of rattling under car. After a charge to look at vehicle (Im cool with that), they informed me I needed a complete exhaust replacement-over $1k. Decided that I would look into it myself and found that the cover for the catalytic converter had rusted and the bolts came out. Turns out the catalytic converter did need replacing and it needed a new muffler...but didnt need a complete exhaust replacement. Completed job myself (with new OEM parts and O2 sensors) for less than half the quote

Service so good, I didnt even have to go in! My Nissan Sentra was dead - turned over but wouldnt start suddenly. I called in to see if Bothell Auto Repair could take my car and to my surprise the guy asked me to go out to my car and try something. He assisted me over the phone as I got my car to start - it was merely flooded! Saved me a tow and diagnostic and a few hours time. I will definitely take my car to these guys next time it has a problem...trust has been established!

We had our oil changed at Jiffy Lube (yes, yes I know). We brought our car into Nate and he told us they had stripped the plug. He said hed replace the pan without charging us for the labor and that all we needed to do was purchase new pan. I know for a fact that he didnt gouge us on the parts costs either, which would have been well within his right, and pretty much what I expected. Weve had other work done there as well, and always had the same result. Good people.

5 stars for Bothell Import Service! What an amazing experience. I had car trouble while driving across the state earlier this week and was lucky enough to roll my dying car into their lot, fearing the worst. They started work that morning, and in an hour my car was good to go! HUGE thank you, and my suby is very appreciative as well. These guys totally made my week.

I just got my Brake pads replaced for Nissan Maxima 2000 at Bothell Import Services. I got the quote on the phone very quick and got my car in next day morning. they honored my request to do the job in next two hours. Great service and reasonable prices. Recently had an unexpected repair. Bothell Import Service charged me less than HALF of what another mechanic (just up the street) had estimated. It can be hard to find a mechanic you can really trust - and I trust these guys! Wont take my car to anyone else.

Bothell Import Service was great to me! They took my car in that day and explained exactly what was wrong in language I understood. They fixed it fast and it didnt cost me and arm and a leg and its worked ever since. Only their mechanics will be working on my Volkswagon Jetta!

I completely trust Nate and his team - the quality of their work is excellent. Im a car guy myself and fairly mechanical and I can spot an imposter a mile away. These guys are the real deal and I recommend them when ever I have the opportunity.

I spent $1000 on a tune up and my truck failed emissions. When I asked about the situation they said I needed a new motor. Got the usual verbal run around and wanted another $150 for the emissions variance. Never again.
