I recently had a worse case scenario happen. We had just moved into the area, and on the way home from work one night, I noticed the car was overheating. Next morning, I checked the coolant level, it was low. As I tried to add coolant, I heard a dripping sound, and coolant was pouring onto the driveway. I checked under the car, and it was dripping from the water pump area. I had no friends mechanic recommendations for this area, so I got on line and started looking at local mechanic reviews. I ran into M&N Absolute Auto Repair reviews, liked what I read, and with only that information called them up. I do have some mechanical knowledge, and if it was the water pump, due to some prior homework I done in the past, I had a pretty good idea of what a mechanic should recommend if the water pump was the issue, based on my make/model vehicle and my mileage. I also had a general idea of how long it should take, and what labor charges I could expect from a fair mechanic. First off, miracle of miracles, if I could get it towed to them right away, they could take me in that day! A few hours later, I got the call. They recommended just what I expected to hear, replacement of the water pump, timing belt, and tensioner. He also recommended something I missed, some seals that needed to be done, and a test to insure the overheating had not damaged the engine. I did some research, both items I had not predicted were good, solid recommendations. The quote was fair, based on my previous knowledge and understandings. Because I had the money to do all the work at that time (a rarity) I agreed to the work and added another job that I had wanted done to upgrade our coolant system. I also had them do their overall safety check and change the oil. As for all the people that I had contact with, including two front desk people and two mechanics during the course of the repair, I cant stress this enough. They are absolutely wonderful to work with. They kept me informed throughout the day on progress, and their knowledge, professionalism, friendliness, and the time they invested in talking with me was absolutely top notch. The results of their safety check matched exactly the issues I already had knowledge of. I do a lot of work on my car, and there was nothing they missed, and more importantly, I did not feel they added anything that really did not need to be done. The work was done on time, and at the quoted price. I left with a quality job done, new information on my car, and a list of reasonable work I can expect to need to budget for down the line. I had some questions about the work they did, and when I called the front desk person invited me to bring the car back that day to talk to the mechanics. This is where their customer service really shined for me. These guys do not make money if their mechanics dont have wrenches in their hands, working on vehicles. When I got there, both mechanics that worked on my car came out, and talked to me at length about the work they did, and some other things about my car. I now have my go-to mechanic for both my cars here at our new town. I need look no further, I found a solid, good, fair and honest company. I will be recommending them to others in the future.

I went to them to fix the radiator system, which cost me $1400. Three weeks later the car broke down again !! I returned to them to fix it and they told that I have to pay them an extra $400 !!! for a part cost $60 + labor!!.... because as they claimed; the part got broken after their work, in the span of three weeks !! I show them a proof from an older 6 months inspection that the part was defected and needed change... so they missed it twice, in their inspection and when they done the work. It would make sense if "at least" give me a discount due their negligence. But they totally refuse the price not even 1$. At that moment, they turned out to be very disrespectful, rude, and literally told me " If you dont want to pay "the full price" just come and take your car !!"" Really !! now you told after you got my money !! what about the warranty you gave me?!! or its just a joke?! So I went to them to take my car. and they told me "you will get your keys only if you sign the a disclaimer that the car was good when we delivered it to you !!" I said " What !!! listen, if you refuse to fix it, give me my keys.. or I will call the police" ... they gave my keys immediately. And Here is thing .... if theyre not really good in what theyre doing, they could at least have some respectful and professional service. But unfortunately, they dont have either !!

I needed new brakes and also there was a rattling in my steering wheel. I asked them to check it out and they said they would but it would cost me a hourly fee. They fixed my brakes on top of the few other things that they found wrong however they said there was no rattling in my steering. I drove it around for them after they had done the breaks to let them listen. They then heard the noise as well. When I asked them if they could please check it they told me it would cost me same hourly fee that they charge the first time for them to check, even though I had asked for it from the start. Spent $1300 getting my car fixed and they wanted to double charge me for that. I was incredibly disappointed and will not be going back, they did not do their job the first time. There are several places in Everett to get your car fixed this is not a recommendation, nothing special.

I took my beloved 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder turbo to M & N... My car had blow a hose & overheated & the head gasket had to be replaced. I didnt really have the $ to fix it as I was quoted a price of $2000 by a different garage I found out was NOT a good place to take my car. So... after some research I found M & N, I talked with Vicki & she told me I could get financed thru Springleaf which was a very easy process. In the end, they replaced all my hoses, my timing belt head gasket, etc, etc... This took about a week AND my car runs like a dream!! They are an AWESOME, caring garage, I will tell anyone whom needs a mechanic to go see them!! Mike was awesome as well... he said some people actually stopped & took a picture of my car!! Thank you Vicki & Mike, you guys are the best!! I will see you when I need another service on my car!! Cheri Young

Went in for a complete inspection and a quote of repairs. They said the only thing wrong was the clutch was burning. The clutch was burning because the mechanic didnt know how to shift the car. The car shifted fine when I brought it in and there was no smell. The burning smell stopped once I left about 2 minutes later. They quoted me $600 for parts and $600 for labor on replacing the shift to transmission assembly. I found the parts for $250 and NISSAN will do the job for less than $200! Money hungry? Yeah. They are really nice and courteous but thats it. They did a vehicle inspection but they didnt tell me that the BOTH headlights were out (which I knew before hand) and completely failed to help me with the starting problem. Maybe it was the mechanic or maybe the entire business. Either way, I cant say Im going back.
