I have never been so angry at a COMPANY before. They have lied to me, countless promises were broken, missed wages because I had to miss work to meet with the tech. Finally after two weeks, I finally got my internet hooked up. Here is my story. I posted this on the Time Warner forum but it got deleted 20 minutes later. " I am so angry right now! I just spent over two hours dealing with the horrible service that Time Warner offers. I had an appointment to get my internet hooked up today from 6-7 pm. When I did not receive a call, I called customer service (id QX!) at 6:24 pm to find out what was taking so long. They put me on hold for about 10 minutes and told me the technician was on his way. After waiting I called again at 7:12 pm and spoke to a different person (id AJ7). She also put me on hold to find out what was taking so long. After a brief hold she told me that the tech was running late and that he should be at my house within 30 minutes. I asked the customer service rep if she was sure that he was going to show up. I explained to her that I work at night and I wanted verification that he will come. She assured me that he was on his way and to wait for him. Mind you, this is on a Sunday. I called back again at 7:43 pm and spoke to someone else (id LVM). She told me that my appointment was changed to Thursday. I could not believe what I heard! I explained to her that I called two times before and the people I spoke with assured me that the tech was on his way. I asked to be transferred to a supervisor. After being placed on hold for 48 minutes and 28 seconds I spoke to a supervisor, I believe her name was Joi. She told me that I never had an appointment scheduled for today and that my appointment was always on Thursday. I explained to her that I had two different customer service reps tell me that there was a tech on his way. The only solution she gave me was to wait till Thursday. I was shocked by her response. She did not give any information on why this happened. I asked her if there is anything that she can do to make up for this mistake, I had to call off work to meet with the tech that was supposedly coming to my house. She had the audacity to tell me that this was not their fault. Im not even a customer yet and Time Warner has already lied to me and made me miss a whole day’s work. Is this what Im going to have to deal with? I am so mad right now! I drove to a relative’s house just so I can use the internet and express my anger."

They flat out shouldnt be in business. If it werent for the government forcing only one option for cable service in areas, they would cease to exist. I live in an apartment in Newport for 3 years and I constantly have issues with service reliability and quality...both TV and Internet. Not only that, but theyre pricing and billing practices are criminal. Customer service at their Costa Mesa branch is filled with people who just looking at them, you can see that they hate their job and dont care if you have a good or bad experience. Theyre basically not helpful at all, but the only redeeming quality is that at least they cant hangup on you when youre on the phone with them for hours like their telephone support. The best was 1 month ago when my service went out and after 3 hours on the phone with 5 different support people, the IT tech finally broke down and told me their service isnt as advertised, which is why they cant fix my issue. I wish I could give them zero or negative stars.

Its rare I actually wish physical harm on people, but TWC deserves every bit of negative customer service it can possibly get. I could regale you with my 6 hour tale of misadventure and misdirection, but Ill just direct you to the South Park episode, because its basically my experience to a T. Oh how I wish Google Fiber could break into the market, but when you have a virtual monopoly, its easy to shut out all competition, while providing the worst customer service ever. I have to wonder- why is it that I get follow up calls and emails asking for me to rate my service. They even let me leave a message! I mean really, who is the pour sap who has to listen to all those messages? What a worthless exercise. In summation- TWC is like Communism. Thats right, I said it. Slow down my Internet speeds on Netflix because you messed up by being a hard service provider and spending no time on content... thats 3rd grade playground stuff. -1 million stars.

I cancelled my Time Warner account on August 25, 2014 and I was supposed to get $55 refunded within 4-6 weeks, I called several times to make sure they had the right address but every time I called they had a different version of my address. After 6 weeks went by I was told that a case had been filed for my problem and that I should be getting my refund in 2 weeks. After 2 weeks still no refund on my mail, I called and I was told that it was actually 4-6 weeks and they didnt know why I was told 2 weeks. 7 weeks later I call to see whats going on since I still have not gotten my $55 check and I was told to allow an extra week to see if my mail comes in. I have been told they cant transfer the money to my bank account, I cant pick up the check at a Time Warner office, and the credit cant be transferred to another Time Warner account. So at this point I think I will spend the rest of my life trying to get my refund..

Im writing this because I didnt know I was being screwed this bad. I went in looking to see how I can lower my costs to this location. The workers werent the problem for me, its the company. The lady didnt catch me looking at her screen, but Time Warner has pre-approved lower rates for people that complain. I know most companies give you a limited time offer package or something if you speak to someone else in charge, but to have pre-approved lower rates is baffling to me. Why wasnt I offered that price to begin with? $30 less a month is a lot of money for the same service. All I had to do was ask and my bill will now be $30 less a month. You dont create a good company by hustling people. Had I been satisfied and happy with my service, Id be bragging about Time Warner instead of complaining. Now I look back and think "hmmmmm... 2 years x $30/month is $720 theyve taken from me". This is dirty business.

I had Time Warner Cable/Internet. Continual connection problems so I looked forward to cancelling when I moved across country. I returned their equipment but received two conflicting final bills. I called and finally talked to a living person after 30 minutes or so but this customer service rep. didnt know how to pull up my account! They tried to connect me to someone who could help but I just go put back to the beginning of the queue. I tried again the next day (again with 20 minute + wait) and the rep told me to wait until I got a FINAL final bill. I got one and paid it within the week. I got a collection call for a $30 charge! Who knows why?? I sent a letter explaining to the collection agency as they told me to do - no response! Today I get ANOTHER collection call for the $30! No one can tell me what the charge is! I think TWC is a scam!
